Chapter 1: Mysterious Eyes

Danny Phantom lay in the middle of a deserted alley. Rain was pouring down from the stormy night sky. The halfa groaned and struggled to his feet, leaning against a stone wall. His chest heaved with the effort. His hand moved shakily away from his body, where it'd been all along. Lightning slashed across the darkness. His eyes lowered to find his hand, which was covered in slimy ecto-blood.

The half-ghost's whole body seemed to be torn itself. Where his hand had been, there was now a gash. His snow-white hair was messy and dirty. His black-and-white jumpsuit was lacerated in several places. Under his moppy hair lay a really deep cut. His leg of the suit was completely ripped off, revealing a bruised leg. His green eyes dimmed with the pain that was reflected in it.

Danny groaned again. He tried to take some steps. A few unsteady steps. Pain shot up his left leg. He bit back a cry of pain. A few more steps. Then, finally, the boy collapsed onto the ground with a splash.

His eyes fluttered for a few seconds, but opened wide when another flash of lightning revealed a pair of eyes. A pair of forest green. A pair so familiar.

That was the last thing Danny saw before he slipped into unconsciousness.

Somewhere in the distance, a set of wheels rolled. Somewhere in the distance, someone shouted orders to another person. Somewhere in the distance, soft sobbing arose.

That was enough to get Danny's attention.

His eyes slowly opened. He looked around at his surroundings. Doors and walls flew past him. Four people ran alongside on either side of him. But the peculiar thing was that he was lying down. Then he noticed he was on some stretcher thing. And that he was in human form.

Air conditioning hit his skin, chilling him to the bone. He shivered, but not just because of the cold

Those eyes. Those deep, familiar forest green eyes. Whose were they?

His thoughts ran through his head. Then they broke apart when they came around a turn. His stomach seemed to slosh around for a split second. His cheeks turned dead pale.

Danny moaned. He didn't feel so good at all. Then a face poked up in front of him. Her face looked kind yet worried.

"Hang on, buddy. You're going to be all right."She said before her head disappeared.

The boy shivered again. This time, it actually was because of the cold. He stared up at the ceiling, watching the lights fly by. Another turn. Another moan. Another reassurance.

All of a sudden, the movement came to a stop. Someone put a mask around the halfa's mouth. A few seconds later, Danny's world turned blank.
