A/N: Based on the song Emotion by Destiny's Child. Some lyrics are
changed or cut out because they didn't fit the theme of the fic. Hope my
information on the aftermath of the Frieza battle on Namek are somewhat
accurate. It's been awhile since I watched it.

-- EMOTION --
The cool night breeze floats in through the slightly open window, as Yuri tosses restlessly, trying to get to sleep in her bed at the Briefs' house. Memories of Namek drift back to her. . .
FLASHBACK---------------»
"Why are you leaving?" Yuri asked quietly from behind him. "Weren't you even going to say goodbye? I thought. . . I thought you cared for me."
Vegeta jumped a little. "I. . . I won't be gone very long. I'm going into space. To train. To become stronger. I want to become a Super Saiyajin. I'm not letting that third-class Kakarotto be the only one around here strong enough to reach it."
"How long will you be gone?" Yuri asked, her eyes downcast, hands clasped together.
"As long as it takes," Vegeta answered, stepping through the doorway of the small spacecraft Dr. Briefs had designed for him.
Vegeta suddenly stiffens as he feels slender arms wrap around him from behind. "This is goodbye, then," Yuri whispers hoarsely in his ear. "Hurry up and become a Super Saiyajin, and come back to me?"
Numbly, he nods. She lets go of him, and he turns, taking her small, feminine hands in his. Vegeta looked at her. Her blue eyes were looking into his, tears running down her cheeks. He wipes away a tear with his thumb, and held her to him as he kissed her softly. "Goodbye, Yuri." He dropped her hands, and the metal doors silently shut behind him as he entered the craft. . .
END FLASHBACK---------------»
Yuri got up out of bed, and opened the door to her small balcony. She looked up at the stars in the night sky, and whispers softly, "It's been four months, Vegeta. When are you going to come back to me?" Closing her eyes and resting her chin in her hands, elbows on the balcony railing, she began to softly sing. . .
"It's over and done,
But the heartache lives on inside. . .
When are you coming back
To let me be by your side?
Where are you now that I need you?
Tears on my pillow, wherever you are
I'll cry me a river that leads to you ocean. . .
I won't let you see me fall apart. . .
In the words of a hurting heart
It's just emotion that's taken me over,
Caught up in sorrow, lost in my soul.
But if you don't come back,
Come home to me, darling,
Don't you know there's nobody left in this world
To hold me tight. . .
Don't you know there's nobody left in this world to kiss goodnight. . .
Goodnight. . . goodnight. . .
I'm there at your side,
A part of all the things you are. . .
But you've got a dream to follow,
You had to go find your shining star."
Yuri brushed a tear out of her eye. What would the Saiyajin no Ouji say to her weakness? [I don't care if he laughs at my weakness, or makes fun of it. . . I just want to see him. . .] Opening her eyes, she looks up to search the sky for a sign, any sign that he was coming back, just as she'd done for the past three months. She had barely gotten any sleep at all. "Oh, Vegeta. please come back to me soon. . . you don't know how much I miss you. . ." Her eyes go wide as she sees a flashing light, distant. Not any ordinary plane. . . "Vegeta-sama?"
