Clark was there for Lois with anything she needed help with. Whether it be the volumes of flower arraignments that were sent to their house in honor of her Father, General Sam Lane, or if she needed to take a break to dance with Clark in the kitchen to some White Snake or to have a shark movie marathon with him on the living room couch. Clark doesn't know what he spent more time doing, getting popcorn or signing off for another flower delivery.

And while he was spending all this time being Lois' right hand man, he also was teaming up with Chloe and Oliver, amongst other future Justice League members, to investigate the death of Sam Lane. Did he really die from a tree branch that wreaked havoc during the recently passed storm or was it something else?

Lois, I am just going to go to the office for a little while. If you need me, you call or text me, for anything, you understand me? Clark said to Lois in a concerned yet serious tone.

I understand you, Lois said to him while looking into his eyes. She tried to sound brave and okay on her own but he knew that when he left she would be like a little kid at the window, eagerly waiting for her parents to come home from work.

He kissed her on the forehead, tenderly, healingly. He tucked the auburn blanket around her body better and checked to make sure that the fire was still crackling in the hearth in the living room. Good, she has at least 3 more movies to go through and she's all stocked up on popcorn and soda he thought.

I love you Lois Lane, he said, half-smiling.

I love you Clark, Lois said clearly yet softly.

And then he super sped to the "office."

What do you have for me, Chloe? Clark said as he arrived at her office in Star City.

No matter how much I prepare myself or how much he practices, my papers still end up all over the floor, Chloe thought. Clark was looking at her eagerly, impatiently waiting for an answer as she picked up her papers. Chloe quickly dismissed her previous thoughts.

What I found Clark, Chloe said hesitantly, you're not going to like.
