This came to me in Irish class today and a friend of mine told me to post it so I did. I dedicate this story to you - Cigarettes and Skittles.
Disclaimer: I do not own the Hunger Games.
"Those who hate most fervently must have once loved deeply; those who want to deny the world must have once embraced what they now set on fire." ~ Kurt Tucholsky
I could see the agreement on her face.
"I told you that we should have rescued the boy first" Coin said regretfully.
That simple sentence was all it took for Katniss to finally respond to her.
I have tried pleading with her. Reassuring her that everything would be okay in the end. Begging her to understand how much she was needed, how much hope she gave to the rebels for simply being alive.
And all it took in the end was an admission that she shouldn't have been saved.
There was nothing but agreement in her eyes.
And I hated her for it.
