After seven months of cold tedious combat the 501st was being off the line. Supreme General Luis Andino sat in an army Jeep, grasping his M97A1 Modified Service Rifle. He was in a relatively good mood despite the battles toll on his body.

His muscles strained against his skin, his baser urges craved sleep, and a throbbing pain had started to form between his eyebrows, traversing through the cells in his brain as it pressed against his skull.

His eyes darted around the muddy field has Clone Troopers bustled around caring empty supply caches into waiting LAAT Gunships. Nearby, a small building marked the edge of a railway track were a black steam locomotive waited patiently for the worn and damaged tanks to load onto the flat cars.

Luis abruptly felt a cold wind travel into his jacket. He winced and tightened his scarf.

"Sir!" Luis turned his head to find Supreme General Third-Class Jeevan Lizardi jogging towards him, his trademark sawed off sniper rifle hanging off his shoulder.

"Lizardi?" Luis queried, stepping out of his Jeep. Lizardi handed the senior officer a data pad, picturing a detailed map of the region.

"Sir, we have a strong winter storm moving in from the north, Sir. This will tighten our schedule considerably," Lizardi reported.

"That explains the wind," Luis remarked, hugging his arms. Moments later LT. General Jerry Torres ran up to Luis.

"Sir, 2d Battalion has encountered resistance along the south-eastern supply routes. The assai lance has left its transports entirely un-operational," Jerry informed. Luis ran his fingers over his closely cropped beard, breathing deeply.

"So there basically stranded," Andino offered. Jerry took a second to consider, Luis' simpler version of his report.

"That is correct, Sir," Jerry conquered. Luis pursed his lips, folding his hands behind his back.

"Very well then, send in a squadron of gunships to pick them up," Luis quickly resolved, leaning back on the jeep's chassis.

"Unfortunately, Sir. The storm has disrupted all aerial traffic. The gunships currently present here ae the last to take off. After that any remaining troops will have to travel to the Equator via the train," Lizardi reminded. I cursed under my breath.

"Well, we all know what that means. Were getting them the old-fashioned way," Luis grabbed his rifle from the jeep and ran to Clone Captain Rex.

"Cap get 1st Platoon into the trucks. We're going on a road trip."
