It was Valentines Day.

He sat next to her on the bed…she was covered by the green satin sheets; he was fully clothed…ready to leave. Outside the walls of his bedroom they were no longer together…he was Draco Malfoy once again…the son of Lucius and a Deatheater to be. But inside those walls he was everything and nothing at all. He was perfect and blemished…he was light and dark. He was himself.

He leaned down and kissed her softly, his hands rested on her bare shoulders, caressing her exposed skin.

"I have to go." He whispered, pulling away from her. Her heart sank and she had to look away before he saw how his words were affecting her.

"You've only been here for an hour." She remarked sadly. He sighed and glanced down at his hands.

"I have to. I don't want to." He defended himself, looking nervous.

"But it's Valentines Day." She whispered, worrying her lip between her teeth to hold back tears.

"I know what day it is." He said a bit to loud…he was getting angry.

"Are you meeting up with another girl?' Ginny asked, knowing the answer already.

"Yes." He said guiltily. "What did you expect?" he asked her, trying to defend himself.

Ginny's eyes filled with tears that she could no longer hold back. "I expect nothing," she whispered. She got up out of the bed, not caring that he was watching her as she gathered her clothes. Her tears slid down her cheeks and she whipped them away with angry fists.

Once fully clothed she let herself look around the room. 'For the last time' she reminded herself. The large bed was unmade from their previous activities; in front of the fireplace was a basket that had been filled with their dinner. Blood red rose petals trailed from the basket to the bathroom where the claw foot tub was probably still filled with rose scented bubbles.

She gazed at the room around her with out feeling. She was numb. All her emotions were buried. There was only one thing the room that she could not bear to see. Draco Malfoy stood in the middle of the room following her eyes…though Ginny didn't look at him she knew exactly what he looked like. His hair was just a bit mussed, his dress shirt would be unbuttoned, revealing a cotton t-shirt underneath. His tie hung limp at his neck. Ginny bit back a sob and walked towards the door, ignoring the man behind her that was so silent. Silences…she thought bitterly…so this is what they had become, silence with nothing left to say to each other. This was what Ron had warned her of. He had told her that he would hurt her. He said that Draco Malfoy would go back to his old ways, and he had been right.

Ginny opened the door and stepped through the threshold, not caring about how might see her. It was all over anyway…she was nothing to him…and she would make him nothing to her.

"I loved you once." She told him in a shaky voice. "Just five minutes ago all I could think about was being in your arms. I realize now that I am nothing." When she had said her final words she glanced up and looked into his eyes…they seemed to hold worry…but she did not let herself hope…there was nothing left for her here, just old memories and more pain.

~ I own nothing…the characters are not mine and the plot just popped into my head. As for my other stories I don't know if they will continue…just like I do not know if this one will…review if you want it to. I 3 everyone who reviewed on my other stories.
