The day I got Duncan my best friend, Elisha, was over. We were down stairs playing nintendo when we heard commotion; we didn't bother to get up until we heard my mom say "Oh my goodness! Look at that cute puppy, I can't believe he's ours!" Once we heard her say that we stopped in the middle of the game, didn't even bother to press pause, and pushed each other all the way up. Once Elisha saw him he said "AWW! LOOK HOW CUTE HE IS!" You could smell the puppy breath and feel his soft silky fur. After Elisha left I picked up the little fluff ball and sat with him in his cage. "What should we call him?" I said. "How about buddy?" My sister replied. "Not buddy! How about spot?" My mom said. "No! He doesn't even have spots! How about Duncan Donuts?" I said. "Yeah! Duncan!" Said my sister. The day after he memorized his name, but he didn't memorize what to do when he had to go to the bathroom. My mother was mad, she had to run to the store to get vinegar and had to use one of her wash clothes. Duncan hid under a table after my mom yelled at him. The rest of the day he had his big, fluffy, palm tree tail under his legs. You could tell he was depressed. About a week later he was getting to be friends with our other dog, Ben, He's a huge golden retriever and he wouldn't let any kid come close to him ever since my friend Josh took a stick and shoved it up Ben's butt. But that was five years ago, I don't know how he could remember that. 7 Months later Duncan was turning one. He had already made three friends named Holy, Ben, and Scooter. It was the last day of June and tomorrow Duncan was turning one. So we bought him a happy meal for his birthday. He enjoyed the hot, tender fries and the tasty, juicy cheeseburger but he had some pretty nasty things coming out of him that night. Scooter, his best dog friend, wrestled with Duncan everyday in my backyard. Scooter was Josh's dog. Scooter was also 1 day younger than Duncan, but she was still the strongest! Duncan is sort of a wimp, but he'll fight anyway. Speaking of wimp he was also a shrimp, but still he was MY best friend. To be continued.
