Last Fight

Sydney took off after the fleeing con, down the dark disserted alley, the only sounds were the sounds of the feet pounding the pavement. Soon the man came a crossed a very high chain link fence and he didn't even hesitate before he leapt on to it and began to climb as fast as he could. Syd came up on him quickly grabbing a hold of his ankle, "get back down here." She growled.

He kicked at her as he struggled to continue his climb, but she fenced off his blows and yanked him from the fence. Once he hit the ground he kicked her in the stomach, sending her flying into the brick wall behind her, she landed with a bit of a cry. He then rushed at her as she struggled a bit to stand, as he came a pun her she kicked out her right foot and connected with her chin, he groaned and stumbled back a bit before he came back at her with a left, she quickly blocked it with her right arm and threw a left back at him, he quickly blocked her before grabbing both arms bringing his right knee up in to her stomach as hard as he could. Syd doubled over and stumbled back, not seeing the man pick up a small iron pipe.

He approached her quickly as she straitened and he brought the bar clean a crossed her left cheek knocking her to the ground. She moaned a bit and weakly pushed herself on to her back, her eyes were gazed with pain and her breaths were coming in short gasps.

He smiled as he stepped over her, he shook his head his head and tusked at her, before he pulled a hand gun from the back waist band of his pants, he pointed it at her he ad and cocked it, "what do you think now Ranger girl?" He asked cockily.

Sydney could only squint at him in pain and move her arms around a bit, a bruise was already forming on her cheek and blood trickled out of the side of her mouth. He laughed when she didn't respond to his question, "what do you think? Should I shoot you in the head or in the gut? Quick and relatively painless or slow and brutally agonizing?" He asked her. She moaned a bit as she struggled to regain her control, he laughed again, "my choice?!" He squatted down, nearly setting on her pelvis and ran the side of his left hand down the right side of her face, "if I could take you home…" He said thoughtfully, he ran his thumb a crossed her lips and grinned before he placed the gun right against the left side of her stomach, "nah." He said dismissively as he pulled the trigger.

Syd jerked in pain and cried out before she began to cough, blood seeping out, some splattering his shirt, her eyes were wide at first, but slowly they began to drift closed. He patted her cheek before hr pulled her star from her shirt, "a small memento of you, my dearly departed Ranger girl." He laughed as he stood and left.

Her breaths became shorter and shorter until they finally seased. Ranger Sydney Cooke was dead.
