In an underground facility, two figures wore black uniforms. One was male, the other female.

Both had a red letter R on the chest. Both were getting restless.

"The boss hasn't been in contact for a while," said Ariana. It had been a long time since Giovanni disappeared. Could he be dead?

"I'm sure that everything is fine," said Archer, "We have nothing to be concerned about. We'll just keep everything running here in Sevii until he gets back."

"And if he doesn't?"

"He will. Nothing can keep that man down."

Ariana was unsure. Why would Giovanni not tell her, of all people, what was happening?

"Very well. So what should we do while he's not here?" she asked, "Admins aren't supposed to sit and wait."

"How about a raid on the city?" suggested Archer.

"Seriously?"

"What's wrong with that? It's one of our main principles."

"We've done it over a hundred times already."

"And? At least it will give us something to do."

Ariana sighed. Archer wanted to attack the city for the sake of doing something. But they literally had nothing else to do.

"Alright. We'll plan an attack on One Island." she said resignedly.

"Great!" replied Archer, "There's a lot of bikers on One Island. They can help us."

"We don't need help. We're Team Rocket. Besides, the last we need is some wannabe tough guys ruining our plans."

"And what if someone tries to fight back? Like that boy in Kanto."

"We'll make an example out of them."

Those words gave Archer an ear to ear grin, he loved thinking about people in pain.

"That way people will learn to respect our organisation." finished Ariana.

She reached into a cupboard and pulled out a bottle of champagne with two glasses.

"Care for a drink?" she asked.

"Of course," replied Archer.

They sat down and drank.

"What do you think about having a branch in Johto?" asked Archer.

"That's something we can aim towards." replied Ariana.

A young man walked in wearing a Team Rocket uniform.

"I have news from Kanto." he announced, "Giovanni has decided to quit as leader of Team Rocket."

Ariana stood up. Could this be true? If so, why?

"Alright, nice prank, kid," said Archer, "Why don't you run along now?"

"Y-yes, sir," replied the grunt.

"Wait," said Ariana.

Both Archer and the grunt turned to look at her.

"Is he really gone?" she asked.

"According to Koga," replied the grunt.

"He looks like he's telling the truth, I can't believe the boss didn't tell us himself."

"That's because nothing's happened," said Archer.

"So what's going to happen to Team Rocket?" asked the grunt.

"Nothing will happen to Team Rocket," replied Ariana, "We are the new leaders. Tell that to Koga."

"Y-yes, ma'am."

The young grunt turned around and left the building.

"Why would you give that weasel the time of day?" asked Archer, "If you ask me, we should have killed him."

"Because I believe him," replied Ariana, "Let's face it, Giovanni hasn't been in contact for several days. What do you think he's doing? Taking a vacation?"

"Or maybe this is all a plan to fool people into thinking he's gone. So when he strikes, no one sees it coming,"

"That's just silly."

"Is it really, Ariana? Is it silly to imagine that our leader is still around? Or maybe I just have more loyalty than you."

"I'm going to ignore that. In the meantime, will you help me or not?"

"Of course. I want us to succeed."

"Then we'll be getting along fine."

She brought her glass to her lips.

"Let's see how fast we can drink this." she smiled.
