So I had writer's block for a while (aka half the week) and was writing complete shit but then this story randomly came to me, and I couldn't decide whether to make it just a regular story or a cause of death fanfic about Natara, and eventually I was just like "fuck it i love the cause of death fandom, i'm writing this awesomeness for them" and that's the story of how I chose you guys over just the general public, because the general public sucks and you guys are my bestest friends. the end. enjoy(:

This is a story about happy endings.

There's one particular detail about life that no one quite seems to grasp fully.

People bury themselves in books; engross themselves in movies; become obsessed with their favorite TV show or game. They follow the storyline with such absorption that it becomes their life until they are finished with it. They laugh with the characters, they cry, they relate to them in any way they can.

They write stories about them.

But one thing that few people in this world realize is that in real life, there are no happy endings. It sounds extremely cliché, but it is the truth. Picture your favorite book, movie, TV show, game. Even if they aren't over yet, can't you picture that happy ending looming in the immediate future? There are exceptions: the stories written as tragedies such as Romeo and Juliet. But what is a tragedy, really?

Life is a tragedy.

In real life, there are no happy endings. Life may seem like a book, or a movie, or a fantasy, but in reality, there won't be a happy ending.

In reality, the happy ending depends on where you end the story.

This is the story of a sixteen year old girl. As she wishes to remain in anonymity, for all intents and purposes of this story, we'll call her Natara. Natara lived with her sister, who we'll call Neha, and her mother and father in their mansion. Natara's father was rich. She was that rare girl you find once in a lifetime that hated the special treatment and advantages she received for being rich. She was that perfect girl that you read about as the hero of some wildly popular novel.

She was special.

Natara was what most high school kids would consider a nerd. Now don't get me wrong: she was beautiful. But, she was also a nerd. She was the pretty nerdy girl that most guys overlooked because she was smart, she cared about school, and she studied a LOT. I'm not saying all boys are like this, but in her school that was the general rule. If they care about their grades, they are undateable.

That is, until the new boy moved to town.
