"We really need to find a place to study, so stop fooling around!" Haruhi growled with impatience. Unfazed by her malicious tone and piercing glare, I continued to sing merrily and prance down the hallway like a pony. Despite her irritation due to hunger and lack of a quiet place to study, Haruhi could not help but smile at my silly antics and soon found herself humming along with me, due to her being tone-deaf. The hallway was completely deserted which would have normally freaked me out a little, but with my best friend and big brother at my side, I was invincible. Seventeen year old Sam, my strikingly handsome older brother, towered over Haruhi and I and stared down at us with bewildered amusement as we danced and sang like drunken fools. He smiled in spite of his attempts to keep a straight face. Suddenly, Haruhi stopped singing and ran to a door to the left of the hall. A strange aura seemed to be illuminating from it, and each one of our destinies seemed etched in its dull gold wood."This will be a great place to study!" Haruhi exclaimed, almost crying in relief."The third music room?" Sam said reluctantly. "You sure?" "It's better than nothing right?" I argued, siding with my friend like always. Haruhi smirked a little in my direction and turned hurriedly to the door before Sam could see. I stifled a laugh."Well, what if someone is using it?" Sam persisted, slightly agitated at being pushed around by two younger girls. "A music room in the middle of the day, being used? Come on now Sam- what are the chances?" Haruhi asked. Before Max could protest, Haruhi pushed open the door and was shocked at what she room was spacious and bright and in its center, six handsome boys stood staring at us, dreamy looks upon their pretty faces. The only one who did not stand and offer a friendly "Welcome!" was the stunning blonde, who was in fact sitting in a chair resembling a throne. At the sight of these wealthy aristocrats who were so openly friendly to strangers, Sam and I turned almost immediately to leave. Haruhi, however, seemed frozen in her tracks and it took Sam's strong grip to lift her from her stationary position towards the direction of the door. The door slammed right before any of us could reach it and the silence hung over us awkwardly as the rich boys stared at the backs of our heads and we stood frozen in place with our hands extended toward the door."Where do you think you're going?" A smooth, calm, sexy, slightly menacing, and stunningly familiar voice called from behind us, cold and emotionless, as though he could truly care less where we were going or anything else about us for that matter. My comrades were still struck with what I believed to be fear and could not turn around, holding each others hands, which would have been sweet if it hadn't been for so ridiculous a reason. Geesh guys, they're not gonna eat us, I thought dully. Even though they did not pose a threat, I found myself shivering at the sound of the malicious and familiar voice I'd heard and took a deep breath before I turned around to face who I hoped would become friends. As I scanned the foreign faces, searching for the source of the voice so strangely familiar, I gasped when I saw that one of the faces that was looking back at me was the beautiful face of a best friend I had not seen in what seemed like eternity…......
