Okai, I'm ready to write a Christmas one. This is a SasuNaru and It'sh gonna be about them at Christmas… duh. But I'm gonna change all the "she's" in the song to "he's". Enjoy, lovies.
Diiiiisclaimer: I dun own Naruto, TSO, or "This Christmas Day" But I will, trust me.
So,
tell me Christmas
Are we wise
To believe in things we never
see
Are prayers just wishes in disguise
And are these wishes
being granted me
For now I see
The answering
To every
prayer I've prayed
He's
coming home this
Christmas Day
Naruto stared up at the falling snow, her tears hot on his frozen cheeks. Sasuke wasn't coming back to be with him that Christmas. He knew it. He knew how unwise it was to believe in things he only saw in his head. Sasuke was gone forever and Naruto couldn't help that. He winced as the clock struck midnight. Christmas day.
So
tell me Christmas
Are we kind
More this day than any other
day
Or is it only in our mind
And must it leave when you have
gone away
It's different now
It's changed somehow
And now
you're here to stay
"Merry Christmas," called Kakashi, holding a stack of presents.
He happily tossed one to Naruto.
"Thanks Sensei," replied Naruto quietly.
Why was it that people were kind more this day than any other day? Is it only in their minds? Was it because it was Jesus' birthday?
"I missed you, Dobe…" breathed a quiet voice by his ear.
He's
coming home this Christmas Day
All at once the world
It
doesn't seem the same
And in a single night
You know it all
has changed
And everything is now as it should be
Naruto gasped and whirled around.
"SASUKE!" he exclaimed.
"Shh, love," said Sasuke, placing a frozen hand on Naruto's cheek.
"In a single night, all has changed," murmured Naruto.
"Everything is now as it should be," finished Sasuke, smiling and placing a tender kiss on the Kyuubi vessel's lips.
Naruto smiled and pulled Sasuke by the hand to his –their- perfectly decorated house.
I
have the ornament
I have the perfect tree
I have a string of
lights
I have a chance to see
Everything that my heart
thought could be
"I have the ornaments, I have the perfect tree," said Naruto, "I have a string of lights. I have a chance to see everything that my heart thought –hoped- could be."
"It's beautiful," sighed Sasuke. "I'm happy that you did this."
He looked down to find Naruto watching him.
"I did it all, hoping that you would come home to me this Christmas day," said Naruto softly.
For
of all the dreams
You were the first I knew
And every other
one
Was a charade of you
You stayed close when I was far away
"Since we first met," murmured Sasuke. "You were in all my dreams. That hasn't changed a bit. I still love you. You stayed close when I was far away."
They sat down on the sofa.
"I love you too," said Naruto, kissing him happily, then resting his head on Sasuke's chest.
"Every time somebody wanted me, it was a charade of you," sighed Sasuke. "None of them came close to the real you that I love dearly."
"Same here," whispered Naruto. "You're going to leave again, aren't you?"
In
the darkest night
You always were the star
You always took us
in
No matter who we are
And so he's coming home this
Christmas Day
"In the darkest night, you were the brightest star," replied Sasuke. "You took me in, no matter who I was."
Naruto looked at him, utterly confused.
"No, I won't leave you again, Dobe," said Sasuke, nuzzling his face into Naruto's hair.
"Good," said Naruto, cuddling up to him.
Tell me what you think!!!!
Ja Ne!
