Disclaimer: How many of these accursed things do I have to write? I don't own!
Note: Suboshi and Yui after Amiboshi's "death". I've never actually seen this episode, sooo I'm doing a bit of guesswork as to where they were and all.

To cry

"Suboshi? What's wrong?" Yui opened the huge doors of the Seiryuu shrine.
"Go away!" the answer was hurled back at her.
"Suboshi?"
"Go AWAY!! You can't begin to understand my pain!"
"What happened? Please, tell me!"
"Oh, Yui-sama! Aniki is dead! He's gone, and he's never coming back!"
"I never knew..."
By this time the seishi was choking, holding back tears he refused to let fall.
"Suboshi, I do understand! I know what it's like, when all you want to do is cry. Go ahead and cry. Cry for as long and as much as you want."
Yui held Suboshi and at that moment their roles were reversed. As the boy sobbed, hot salty tears streaming down his face, the protector was suddenly the protected. Yui was no longer his lady, but a mother-figure.
"Th-thank you..." he gasped as she brushed the back of her hand over his face, catching the teardrops.
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. How did Amiboshi die?"
"Suzaku's seishi," the boy returned, squeezing his eyes shut as more tears fell, "They found out he wasn't "Chiriko", and Tamahome killed him."
"Tamahome?"
He didn't answer, but hugged himself, rocking slightly. Yui sighed sadly.
"Cry, Suboshi. It's all right."
Suboshi nodded, and they were silent as his heart-rending anguish was conveyed.

Yui sat by herself in a silent room. Her seishi were all dead, she was alone. Even though Miaka had forgiven her, she still had no one. Pride, however, prevented her from shedding tears. Suddenly she felt a presence in the room. It was a soft familiar one.
"Suboshi?"
The spirit of the boy she'd rejected, hated, and hurt, who had then laid down his life for her, was in that place with her.
Ghostly arms embraced her; she could feel his spirit holding her.
"It's all right to cry, Yui-sama. You can cry. I won't tell anyone." He smiled sadly and she looked away from the silvery blood on his transparent figure. "I promise you it's all right. I did many things I regret, but dying for you was something I'll always be proud of."
She turned quickly to him as a little pearly drop fell n her hand. The ghost of Suboshi was crying. She broke down too.
"Suboshi, I'm sorry, I'm sorry! If only I'd bothered to care, if I'd been better to you, this wouldn't have happened!"
"It's all right, Yui-sama! I was happy too!"
"You were only fifteen, you were too young to die!"
"But I can accept whatever kind of pain. I knew it'd be me. And it's all right - it was for you."
"My fault..." With a great shuddering sigh, Yui's tears flowed afresh. Suboshi's spirit hugged her as much as a ghost could.
"I love you," he whispered.
"Suboshi! But...that wasn't even your real name, was it? What was your given name, Suboshi?"
"I was Bu Shunkaku."
"Shun..."
"But I was ready to give up Shunkaku if you needed Suboshi!"
"Shunkaku," she whispered.
"Thank you, Yui-sama. You know, aniki first told me it was all right to show sorrow. But I never truly believed it until you showed me. I love you, Yui-sama. Goodbye..."
As she reached out a hand to him, he kissed it, and then started to fade.
"Goodbye, Shun."
"Sayounara, Yui-sama."

Owari

I romanticized the whole Suboshi-dying thing bit, didn't I? No matter, just tell me what you think.
