True Love Never Forgets, Right?

A/N: I know on the last chapter I stated that I was going to end it there. However, this story has been such a great hit that I've been thinking for a while that I might continue it. I know you are sitting there thinking, "how is she going to continue this when chap 13 ended the way it did." Well… let's just say I've been thinking about this for quite some time. It's going to get a bit weird if I go through with this. At least in some later chapters it will, but you never know. You might like it. If not, I apologize.

Chapter one: The New Year

The fireworks danced in the sky. The many colors seemed so distinct as they appeared but soon they all blurred together.

/Just like memories/ Mayumi thought. /Each one seems so distinct and separate, but eventually they all just blur into one./

"Mayumi! What are you doing out on the balcony! Have the- OOO! The fireworks have started already! Anishi Get out here! The fireworks have started!" Losan ran out to join Mayumi on the balcony.

The three of them stood together and watched the fireworks.

Mayumi took a moment to look at her two best friends and smiled. Everything seemed so perfect right now. Almost. Every thing was almost perfect. There was still something missing. Or rather someone…Make that three someones. Mayumi's smile slowly began to fade and moisture began to fill in her eyes.

It was the new year. The year of the Dragon. It was little less than year ago when Mayumi had to erase the memories of the friends she loved so dearly and the men they had fallen in love with.

Things had been so different without the three of them. She couldn't believe how much things had change, but she supposed that's what happens when you love someone so much. This past year had seemed to drag on.

There was no dog to call a pervert.

There was no snake to complain about the cold.

There was no dragon to give you a check-up when you're feeling ill.

And things just didn't feel right.

Mayumi had erased the memories of many, many people, even in the last year she had erased the memories of no less than ten people, and none of then, not one, felt wrong. But over a year after erasing the memories of those five people and Mayumi still could not forget about it.

That's why she had to do it. She had been thinking about for over a year now, but she finally decided that it was time. It seemed so right. It was the year of the Dragon. It was his year. Somehow that just seemed right to her.

But. Should she tell Anishi and Losan? Should she ask them to come with her?

No. She had already made the plans. No point changing her mind now. She was going to leave. If everything went right, she may be able to correct a mistake she made. Perhaps even one she didn't.
