Evelyn woke up that morning with a strange headache. There was something strange about today, but she couldn't tell what it was. As normal, she ate a bowl of cereal for breakfast, put on some comfy, warm clothes, and grabbed her backpack for school. Major adjustments were made to the city, and then Evelyn realized what had occurred. The superheroes had somehow come to life. As she saw the Avengers tower gleaming in the foreground, she gasped, "This can't be real, They're not real, never have been, never will be." Yet, as she was saying this, an Iron Man suit flew by her on the streets of New York and waved to her. She waved back, jaw dropped so low it seemed as if it was touching the ground.
Evelyn sprinted to school as quickly as she could, trying to pass every bit of evidence on the way. She was submitted into a high school grade classes even though she was only thirteen. As she reached her high school, she sat down in her class head flat on the desk. The teacher announced to the class, "We will be having a new student today, and his name is Peter Parker." Evelyn looked up at the sound of that name, finally giving in to the idea of the superheroes being real.
As she glanced around the classroom, she heard people saying, "That's a nice name," and, "I hope he's cute." But there was nothing about him being Spiderman. It was as if nobody noticed that the day there was only movies about superheroes, and they were never real. Peter Parker walked into the classroom, his hair swooped to the side, and his eyes a beautiful shade of hazel. Evelyn glanced at him with intensity, and didn't understand. To her, he was the actor who plays Peter Parker in the movies.
"W-who are you? " Evelyn asked him perplexingly, as he sat down next to her. He stared into her eyes with confusion, as if he had never heard that name in his entire life.
He replied to her, "Umm, I'm Peter Parker." Evelyn was so creeped out about this. She was the only person that noticed this. Her life was turned upside-down. Evelyn started heavily breathing, not believing her eyes of who was sitting next to her. "Are you ok? You don't seem like you're handling this so well," Peter questioned her.
"Do you mind if I talk to you after class?" Evelyn inquired of him, her exotic blue staring into his. He immediately nodded yes, and began listening to the teacher for the rest of class. As class went on, Evelyn couldn't travel her mind over to the study of math. Was she delusional or something? She might as well just suck it up till the end of class to ask Peter that question.
