Caroline had a problem. A major, huge, ginormous problem. And the problem? Well, it involved one Klaus Mikaelson. But, of course it would because that's what it always comes down to. Boy problems. When Caroline first became a vampire she thought she couldn't handle it. Then she could. She thought the neurotic control freak was gone. Well bingo wrong again because that girl is back ad she hates it. This is why she could not be with Klaus. He brought out the pathetic human girl she once was.

She thought about that for a minute and knew it was wrong. She was doing it again; trying to convince herself Klaus was bad for her, when in all reality he wasn't. He actually brought out the arts she liked. He made her feel pretty damn alive for being technically dead. He got her excited…in more ways than one. His sarcastic, annoyingly adorable quips got under his skin and he knew it. He relished it, his victory over her.

She loved him but he didn't know that. She wanted him, yes he knew that. He thought it was basic animal like attraction. He could understand that he was after all half wolf. He understood primal better than anyone. He walked the line between it and what was left of his humanity every day. He walked it like he walked away, straight to New Orleans. It broke her heart not having him here. But, she knew she didn't exactly discourage his leaving. She didn't even return his phone call for god's sake.

After Damon she never felt good enough for love. Tyler had been good in the beginning, yes, but after a while it just felt like they were walking on egg shells around each other. The breaking point was when he wolfed out and had tried to attack her; if Stefan hadn't been there….she would rather not think about what would have happened. She thought for a minute. There was one person that had never used her for blood, never tried to attack her when she messed up or betrayed him or he got jealous. Yes, he got mad and did things to the people she loved, horrible things. But, when he did anything to her, he healed her. Always.

He got Tyler to bite her, then healed her. He bit and stabbed her, and then with gentleness, she has never seen from him moved her from the floor to the couch and healed her after a long eye opening talk. He always treated her with the utmost care, always made sure she was okay, loved her even when she treated him like shit. He loved her for her, he never used her, and hurt anyone who tried to hurt her. Hell, he picked her over his sister!

Thinking all of this through, she knew the answer was an easy one, so she began to pack, because it was time for a trip to New Orleans.
