She couldn't afford to be choosy after the after being ousted by The Virgin. Sorry about dinner? Unlikely, the smug bastard. With most of her bank accounts frozen, compliments of The Ice Man, she stretched out to her contacts and took whatever jobs came her way, carefully booking then in significant blocks to save on airfare. It was damned odd having to "save" money again. She hadn't since she was 19.

But that was before the game of her life; the thrill of the ultimate prize and to be the utmost victor. Finally, someone challenged her mind other than Moriarty, who was a selfish prick that just wanted to kill people. This new game, it brought a warped sense of justice to her world. And although she misbehaved for a living, the blue eyed, ego maniac man that degraded normal people for a living worked to literally bring justice to those in his path. Whether flippantly telling a husband that his wife was sleeping around or solving murders and infuriating the police, The Virgin brought distorted truth. Poor common folk, so ignorant that such a brilliant mind was wasted on their petty troubles.

This evening brought a full service escort job to The Woman. A young man of the world with too much money, time and alcohol first showed her off at a social gala in New York and then to a private party. She tolerated his drunken advances in the limo as they made their way to a club. She'd never been to a club as a service. Maybe she could get him drunk enough to pass out at the hotel.

Music was thrumming so loudly that it rattled her chest as they walked into the underground club. Rather, she walked and he lurched around. Quickly escorted to the VIP section, he started in on the first round of drinks as he pawed at her, although it was nothing naughty, just a stupid drunk. He somehow slipped and ended up catching her hair and partially pulling it out. No bothered, she loosened it all of the way down. "Let's dance," she suggested, just wanting to do something. This man had nothing she wanted and nothing useful except for his cash.

It's a dark night of my soul and temptation's taken hold…

But through the pain and the suffering, through the heartache and suffering…

I feel loved

I feel loved

The lyrics caught her off guard as her companion started to grind into her hips. His hands fumbled around her body and she plastered on a fake smile as her mind fled across the Atlantic to a small flat on Baker St. She saw The Virgin look at her through a drugged haze. Heard her ring tone that he refused to change. Smelled his bed sheets. Remembered his deep, rumbling laughter. Stared into the blue eyes that had called her bluff in its entirety. She felt her own pulse rush at the memories.

Gratefully, her companion passed out in the limo on the way to the hotel, which gave her plenty of time to get on the internet and type in the lyrics and find the song. A quick download later, some fake sounds for show and The Woman had collected her payment from the bodyguard outside of the door and left.

From the depths of my emptiness, comes a feeling of inter bliss

I feel wanted, I feel desired

I can feel my soul on fire

"Sorry about dinner," she said out loud. Then she answered with a smile, "Without a doubt, you are."
