And than my life ended, as I felt the breeze from Edward's escape disappear. I could feel the soft forest floor beneath my face. I wondered how I was on the ground, but than I remembered I didn't care. Edward was gone and was not coming back. He didn't love me any more. Than from somewhere above me I heard a thunder. It started raining very lightly but as every second passed the rain got harder and heavier.
I must of fallen asleep because the next thing I saw was the rising sun behind the always cloudy sky. It must have stopped raining because all the noise was that of the birds chirping and the left over rain pooled in the leaves dripping down to the ground. Suddenly there was a sharp noise behind me, a twig breaking under the weight of someone's foot. I lifted my head enough to see a slight shadow.
As the dark shadow came closer, I could make out the face of a very beautiful man.
He came closer and he stuck out his hand. He helped me up and set me down on a damp log. He took of his jacket and placed it around my shivering shoulders.
Than there was a noise, a voice, it was even more silky and velvety than his voice. The voice was coming from the beautiful man's full, red lips.
"Are you okay" the beautiful voice asked. It took me a second to realize that he was talking to me.
"I guess" I said, my voice was very rough, it was probably from sleeping on the ground in the middle of the forest.
"Why are you out here, in the middle of forest?"
"I don't know" I replied.
"Do you need help, are you lost, did you fall?" he asked.
"I don't think I'm lost"
"Than why are you out here all by yourself?"
Just than did I realize the hardness of his skin and how cold he was. I should be scared but someone who could care about a mess-up like me couldn't be that bad I thought.
Before I could think things through or close my mouth, I blurted out "Are you a vampire?" I closed my eyes because I didn't want to see his reaction, he must think I'm half crazy.
