He grimaced as he looked between the two things in his hands. One was a large box of chocolates, wrapped in gold paper and held with a pink bow. His other hand held a small pink bottle of perfume. They were both rather expensive goods, and looked amazing but they just were not right! Cloud sighed and placed them back down, searching among the huge displays of Christmas decorations and sale baskets. He needed to find the perfect gift for Aeris yet as he looked through the shops, he could not find anything that he thought was special enough for her.

"Cloud?"

He froze at the sound of that angelic voice, the hand that was outstretched to pick up an ornament was quickly by his side once more as he turned to meet her. She tilted her head to the side as she smirked a little, her eyes sparkling with knowledge.

"Cloud, what are you doing?" she asked in an almost excited manner, as if trying to figure out who the present was for. He knew that she was aware of that much since the shop he was in was called "The Gift Shop." He gave a small shrug, glancing around him nervously. Aeris smiled wider and stepped up closer, placing her hands on his shoulders, bringing her cheek to his ear so she could whisper into it.

"What do you want for Christmas?" she asked softly, pulling back to give a wide smile. Cloud blushed madly and gave a small shake of his head as a sign that he did not know what he wanted. She made an interested sound and brought her face directly in front of his, a cheeky grin spreading across it.

"Well, if you see anything you like tell me and I'll get it for you," she said after a moment before she walked off as fast as she had appeared. Cloud watched her for a moment before he snapped out of his daze and turned back towards the multiple display unit with a critical eye.

"Right, perfect gift," he muttered under his breath as he began to search through them all over again.

Then he saw it.

A beautiful flower ornament, with a sparkling green stem and large purple and pink petals covered in glitter, angled to perfectly capture the light that reflected on them. He quickly made his way over to them, looking at the price tag and making a face. 100 Gil! He continued to stare at it as he contemplated on whether to buy it or not before he decided to go for it.

After all, Aeris was worth every penny.
