First Star Trek fic…go easy on me—Kirk and Spock is a disturbing pairing…
There were some who claimed Vulcans had no emotions, that they couldn't feel anything—that they were no different from rocks, just sitting there watching with an alarming passivity, uncaring and silent.
Captain James Kirk of the Starship Enterprise knew better.
He grinned at Spock's back and, after making sure no one was around, jumped onto him. Spock grunted and stumbled, but stayed upright and looped his arms around the captain's legs.
"Hello, Mr. Spock," Kirk grinned as the Vulcan turned his head and raised an eyebrow.
"Captain, I would ask what you're doing, but I'm afraid I know all too well." Spock gave him a typical look, his eyes fixed on Kirk with that disparaging gleam in his eyes—that same expression that crossed his face whenever the crew found something to laugh about.
Kirk grinned. "No one's around; you can drop the act." He slid off the Vulcan's back and wrapped an arm around his waist, leaning in for a kiss. "Oh, come on," he laughed when the other hesitated, "there really is no one here!"
"Very well, Captain." Kirk grinned as he was kissed, then laughed out loud as the Vulcan pulled away and wiped a hand across his mouth.
"You know you enjoy it." He received the Look again.
"You humans and your desires are strange. I don't think I'll ever begin to understand you."
"Is that all I am?" Kirk had to smile. He knew how Spock felt. "Just an experiment?"
"Perhaps, Captain." The reply was vague, but after a momentary silence he caught the human's eye and laughed. "Of course you know I'm only fooling, Jim." He wrapped an arm around Kirk's shoulder and pulled him close for another kiss.
"Of course, Mr. Spock." He had to laugh.
