Assassination
He came home in the middle of the night, sat down on an empty wooden chair with a bloody kitchen knife on his right hand. He had done it again. L had killed another human being whom he doesn't even know.
Another typical day has arrived; L is alone in his room lingering with his iPod, playing songs randomly. A knock came, but he didn't hear it. He was so busy listening to his favorite songs.
"Hey, L. You have another client," said a girl with blonde hair wearing a gothic Lolita outfit. L was still not listening.
"HEY L!," shouted the girl once again.
"What's your problem Misa?", "You're not listening to me again, that's my problem," Misa replied.
"Yeah, right. You said I have a new client?," he said. Misa nodded." You'll get your hands dirty again, so be ready."
L got out off his bed, removed his earphones and went downstairs. He saw a boy with white hair sitting in a weird position, sort of like L's position when sitting. Who's this? Is this going to be my client? You've got to be kidding me. "Where's my client Misa?", "He's there. The boy with white freakin' hair."
He really is my client. I can't believe this. "Uh, hi. I guess," said L.
"My name is Near. I'm 10 years old. I need your ability. I want you to kill someone for me," the white-haired boy said.
"Hold on a minute. You're just ten, and you know all this killings and stuff."
"You don't know who I am. Just do it. I'll pay you no matter how big your price is. Just kill this man!" He handed out a picture of a man. The man has dark-blonde hair, has a serious face and looks more like an athletic person. L grabbed the picture. "Who's this?"
"His name is Yagami Light. My mortal enemy. He has gone far enough so I want you to end his stupid life."
"What's the catch?," L asked, quite serious now.
"He's rich. Many people have threatened his life, but all of them just died before him. Now it's his turn to die. So, I'm begging you, kill this person. This person that's making my life miserable!" Near was teary-eyed now. It's like his chest was pumping so badly.
"As you wish my client. He will be dead in no time," L said with a grinning face.
Near has gone happily. He has his hopes up. It is now all up to L.
"Just like that? You're willing to sacrifice your life for a 10-year old boy?," Misa asked.
"I don't care. Besides a life's boring if we don't take any risks," L replied with a smile on his dull face.
