"Pass it over here!"

"I'm gonna win this round, Ulrich!"

"You wish, Scrawny!"

It was a normal day in Atlanta, Georgia. Jeremy Belpois sighed as he looked away from the Superscan and gazed up at the sky. A few months after his cousin, Patrick Belpois, moved to the United States, his aunt and uncle had invited him and the rest of the gang to stay for vacation. At first, he didn't want to go, because he was afraid that XANA would attack. It took nearly all of his friends to convince him to go. Before they practically dragged him to the airport, he threw his laptop into his bags so he could check and see if XANA was causing any trouble back at home. It took a lot to convince Ulrich too, due to his vertigo.

Flashback...

The gang was at the airport waiting for their flight to be called. All of the Lyoko Warriors were excited, except for one.

"Ulrich, come on! It'll be alright," Yumi said, trying to coax Ulrich from his seat. The brunet shook his head.

"No. No way I'm going on that," he said. "You guys can go on without me. I'll stay here in case XANA attacks." Odd smirked. "What, are you scared of airplanes?", the blonde asked teasingly.

"No... I just don't like flying."

"Ulrich's scared of airplanes! Ulrich's scared of airplanes!" Odd sang.

The spiked haired boy didn't see the book that was flying towards his head.

"Thanks Ben."

"No problem." Ben replied as he looked back at his comic.

"You'd really miss out on a lot if you didn't go," Aelita pointed out. Ulrich smirked and shook his head. "Sorry guys, but I'm not going."

Anne smiled as an idea popped into her head. "Alright, but that means you'll be stuck listening to Sissi and your dad while we're gone." she smirked as she folded her arms behind her head. Ulrich looked like a deer in headlights at that. No WAY he was staying and listening to SISSI.

"OK, you got me! I'm going."

End flashback...

Jeremy chuckled as he remembered that moment before closing his lap top.

Just then, a soccer ball skid to a stop in front of his feet and the Lyoko Warriors, followed by Patrick, ran up to him.

"Hey Einstein! Why aren't you enjoying the nice Atlanta weather?" Odd asked as he sat down next to him. "All you ever do is type on that computer. You know, it's not everyday you get to leave the country and stay in another one for a while."

"I'm not in the mood to enjoy the weather right now Odd. What if XANA launches an attack?" asked Jeremy, softly enough so Patrick couldn't hear.

"Oh come on, Jer! You need to quit being so paranoid and do something fun for a change!" William said.

"Not right now guys." he insisted.

Aelita smirked and took his glasses off without warning and ran away.

"Hey!" he cried out in surprise. "If you want them, you'll have to come and get 'em!" the rosette cried out.

He got what she meant and smiled mischievously. "Oh, I'll come and get them alright." he chuckled before he placed his laptop back into his bag, slung it over his shoulder, and started chasing her. "Come here you!" he shouted playfully.

Aelita laughed a little bit before giving the glasses to Anne, being the most hyperactive of the group.

"What?! Now it's a game of keep away?" asked Jeremy in exasperation. Anne smirked in response.

"Hey, you wouldn't get off your butt, so this is what you gotta deal with." Anne said before dashing away with the glasses.

"Catch me if you can!" she teased as she kept running.

Jeremy chased her around and tried to keep up as she made a turn around a corner.

"Yo Patrick! Heads up!" Anne hollered as she tossed the glasses to Patrick.

"Come and get 'em, cuz!" the pale boy shouted as he was chased by Jeremy.

Jeremy ran as fast as he could to keep up with his cousin. After a couple minutes of running, Jeremy looked down and got an idea. He dived and managed to tackle Patrick by the ankles, causing them both to land in a nearby bush.

He smirked and took his glasses out of his cousin's hands, "I'll be taking those." he said as he put them back on.

Once they got up, Patrick noticed something.

"Hey, what's that?" he asked pointing down a hill in the woods. Ulrich and Odd walked over to them. "What?" Odd asked. "There, in the woods," Patrick said.

Jeremy looked closely and saw something on the ground.

"Hmm... guys, stay here. We'll go check this out," Ulrich said to the others as the four of them went into the forest. They walked about ten feet and stopped short when they saw what was in front of them.

"Holy shit," muttered Ulrich.

On the ground was a man wearing a biking outfit. Several feet away was a damaged motorcycle. The man wasn't moving.

"He must have crashed." Jeremy bluntly stated as he examined the man.

Odd grabbed a stick and poked him.

"Odd!" Ulrich hissed as he, Patrick, and Jeremy gave him a disapproving look. The teen ignored them and poked the man a few times.

Nothing happened.

"Yep. He's dead. We better call the-"

Before Odd could finish, a growling noise came from the man. They backed away in surprise as the man pushed himself up. He turned and looked at them while snarling. His skin was rotted and his eyes were a pure white. He then began to crawl towards them.

"G-get away from us!" Jeremy shouted in fear as he tripped and fell down. He backed away as the man crawled closer to the blonde boy.

Before he could grab him, Ulrich quickly grabbed a huge branch that had fallen off a tree and hit the man on the head hard. He repeatedly hit him over and over until he stopped moving. Ulrich's eyes widened, realizing what he had just done as he threw the branch onto the ground.. Jeremy gagged at the sight of the blood pouring onto the ground. Patrick then yanked him back up to his feet.

"RUN!" Ulrich yelled as they turned on their heels and ran out of the woods.

"Dude, we heard something growling. What the hell happened back there?" Ben asked as the four boys ran out of the woods.

"This might sound crazy, but we were just attacked by a freakin' ZOMBIE!" Odd exclaimed.

"A zombie? You sure you didn't hit your head back there?" Yumi asked in a doubtful tone.

"But it's true! We saw it!" Patrick said.

Suddenly, they heard some groaning coming from the woods.

"What the-?" asked Tim as two zombies staggered out of the bushes.

"HOLY CRAP!" shouted William.

"Now you guys believe us?!" Jeremy asked with a slight hint of annoyance in his voice.

Yumi, who's eyes were glued on the living dead in front of her, nodded nervously.

"RUN LIKE HELL!" Odd shouted as the gang turned on their heels and ran away from the increasing number of zombies.

As they ran towards a fence, they used a trashcan as support and climbed over the fence and landed in an alley. However, Jeremy lost his balance on the can and landed on his back. He was dazed for a few moments before he heard the sound of feet hitting concrete. "Einstein, come on!" Tim exclaimed as he helped the genius up. He looked up and gasped. The zombies were gaining on them! "Come on! I'll give you a boost!" Tim exclaimed as he cupped his hands. Jeremy quickly climbed up and with the help of Tim, he made it over the fence. Tim then climbed over the fence just before the zombies reached him. He pressed his ear against the fence and heard the zombies growling behind it before trudging away in defeat.

They breathed a sigh of relief. "Lucky for us zombies are stupid enough that they can't climb, right?" Patrick said to no one in particular.

Anne caught her breath and tapped the brim of her hat. "What the freak happened back there?!" she exclaimed. "We found a dead guy back there, and it turns out he was a zombie!" Odd said.

Ben started pacing back and forth. "What the hell is going on?!" he asked.

Yumi gulped. "Only one thing: the apocalypse."

At the end of the alley, a few zombies could be seen staggering towards them. Aelita gasped and screamed. "Aw crap! RUN!" Anne exclaimed as the group turned on their heels and bolted out of the alley. Jeremy then gasped and skidded to a halt as they rounded a corner. "Wait, wait, wait!" he said. "What about Uncle Frank and Aunt Jill?!"

"They've gone on a buisness trip, remember?" Yumi reminded.

"But they could be home right now!" Patrick said.

William was silent for a moment before he realized what they were saying. "Oh, no. We are NOT going back there!"

"I need to see if they're home or not!" Patrick said. "What if it was your parents?!"

William sighed in defeat. "Fine, but if we're gonna get to your house, we're gonna have to be quick about it," he said. Ulrich bent down and picked up a crowbar. "Ulrich... what're you gonna use that for?" Aelita asked slowly. "Bashing in zombie heads on our way to Patrick's. Alright guys, whatever you do, do not wander off," he advised before they began running.

"Go, go, go, go, go, go, go!" Ben chanted as he ushered the group into the door. He grimaced as he saw a zombie take a bite out of a man's ankle before he slammed the door shut.

"Mom? Dad?" Patrick called as he ran through the house.

"Uncle Frank?!" Jeremy exclaimed as he ran up the stairs.

"Mrs. Belpois?" Aelita asked. "Are you here?!"

"Yo!" Anne called as she walked into the living room.

"MOM?! DAD?!" Patrick yelled. Jeremy ran downstairs with a worried look. "No sign of them anywhere!" he said.

"Damn it!"

Odd then reached for the TV remote and pressed the POWER button. A newscast then came on.

"A mysterious virus has broken out and is sweeping the nation! Flesh eating monsters are popping up everywhere! We advise that you stay indoors and gather essential needs in case-" the reporter said before a crash could be heard. The reporter screamed and ran away from a zombie as static appeared on the screen.

"Son of a..." Ulrich trailed off as he placed his hands behind his head.

"What do we do?" asked Aelita.

"I think we should just stay here for right now, and if it gets bad, we haul our asses outta here," said Ben.

"I think we should get the hell out of here now!", William interjected.

"William, have you seen how many things are out there so far?! It's best if we stay here for the night," said Yumi. William looked out the window and sighed. "Fine..." he muttered dejectedly.

Odd flipped through the stations until he found a stable one.

"It says that most of it's spread throughout this area," he announced.

The gang fell silent as they watched the screen show zombies staggering around while the reporters tried to finish their news report while avoiding them. Anne's visible eye wandered over to one of the windows. Outside, she could see people running around in a panic as they desperately threw items into their cars.

"You guys sure we should stay here?" she asked.

"Right now, it seems like the safest place there is," Jeremy said as he pulled the blinds for the window down.

"Guys, whatever you do, don't answer the door if anyone knocks on it, no matter what, and stay away from the windows. The zombies won't be able to see us that way," Ulrich explained as he gripped the steel pipe tightly. "I'll keep watch. You guys rest up," he advised as he left the room.

"Now how the hell are you supposed to rest when there's a bunch of flesh eating monsters outside?" asked Ben. No one bothered to answer his question.

"... I'm hungry," Odd said after a moment of silence.

"ODD! We're in the middle of a freaking apocalypse and all you can think about right now is FOOD?!" Yumi snapped.

Odd ignored her and flipped through the channels.

"You guys think that Naruto Shippuden's on right now?"

Two days had passed since the dead started to roam the streets.

Currently, Ulrich was sitting in a chair with a bored look on his face as he twirled a pencil in his hands. Odd was sitting on the sofa with Aelita, who was hugging her knees to her chest, and Jeremy, who had his eyes glued to the TV as more reports on the living dead came on. Ben was pacing back and forth around the living room. Tim sat nearby tapping his foot nervously. Patrick was in his room upstairs keeping an eye out for zombies. Anne sat by a desk fast asleep and used her hand to keep her head propped up. Yumi and William stood by the window with their arms crossed as they stared outside.

The silence was finally broken by Ben.

"HOW MUCH LONGER ARE WE GONNA BE IN HERE?!" he screamed. Anne jolted awake and Ulrich broke the pencil he was holding.

"I can't take it anymore!" he exclaimed. "Ben, just take a nap," Yumi said. "How can I go to sleep knowing that there are dead people right at your doorstep?! There's no way I'm gonna go to sleep until I know we're safe!" Ben retorted. "Plus I'm dying of boredom!"

"Ben's right," William said. "I've seen a movie where these guys ransacked a house during an apocalypse. Who's to say that someone could come in and raid this house at any minute?"

"But Uncle Frank and Aunt Jill-"

"Jeremy, I'm sure they're fine. They must have gotten to a safe zone," Aelita reassured.

"Well, if we're leaving, we'll need to take a few things with us," said Jeremy. "Go get Patrick. I'll explain what to do."

Several minutes later, Tim and Yumi each had a bag filled with food and bottled water. "Let's go," Patrick said as he headed towards the front door, but Ulrich stopped him. "Whoa, whoa, wait. Don't go out the front, they'll see you," he said. "Then where do you suggest we go?" Patrick shot back. Jeremy looked around for an answer.

"The back door!" he exclaimed. "Sounds good enough to me!" William agreed as they ran into the kitchen. Anne cautiously opened the door and poked her head outside, seeing no signs of danger.

"Come on!" she whispered as she stepped outside and ushered them out. "So which way?" asked Jeremy. "Seriously?" Anne deadpanned. "You were the one that wanted to go out the back door."

"Over the fence?" Yumi suggested. Anne shrugged as the gang walked towards the fence and climbed over it, finding themselves in another alley.

"So... what now?" Odd asked as he looked around the alley.

"Excuse me," a voice said out of nowhere making them shout and jump in surprise. In front of them was an African American man and a little girl wearing a cap with a D on it.

"Sorry if I scared you," he said apologizing.

"It's OK," said Ulrich.

"Who are you?" asked Aelita.

"Name's Lee and this is Clementine," the man said gesturing to the girl.

"Clementine? That's a cute name," Aelita said with a smile.

"Is she your daughter?, asked Jeremy.

"Nah. I found her in her backyard hiding from the zombie in her house," Lee said.

"Wait. You were attacked by one too?" Ulrich asked in surprise.

Lee nodded. "Her babysitter was a zombie when I found Clementine and it almost got me, but I managed to kill it."

"Well, we were attacked by zombies while we were playing a game of keep away with Jeremy's glasses. I'm Ulrich by the way," Ulrich said introducing himself. "The scrawny one in purple is Odd."

"I am svelte!" Odd said in annoyance.

"I'm Jeremy and this is my cousin Patrick."

"Name's William."

"Yumi."

"Ben and this is my younger brother Tim."

"The name's Anne."

"I'm Aelita."

"Nice to meet ya," Lee said with a small smile. "Y'all from here?"

"Patrick is. The rest of us are from France. We came here with Jeremy to visit Patrick," Aellita replied.

"Where are your parents?" the man asked. Patrick crossed his arms. "They've gone out for a business trip in Atlanta. I hope they made it," he muttered.

Anne knelt down to Clementine's height. "So... You've been by yourself since those... things started showing up?" she asked. Clementine nodded.

Suddenly, they heard the sound of two men grunting.

"Man. I ain't gonna get home to mama now," one of them muttered.

Lee walked out of the alley and said, "Hey! You two need a hand over there?"

The one with the white T-shirt panicked. "Ah! Don't eat us!" he pleaded.

"Relax. We're not one of them," Jeremy said as they walked out of the alley and joined Lee.

The one with the brown jacket breathed a sigh of relief.

"We need some help here," said Lee.

"You guys trying to get outta here? Cause you should be with all those things walking around. I'm Shawn. Shawn Greene," the man said introducing himself. "Lee and this is Clementine, Aelita, Jeremy, Odd, Patrick, Ulrich, Yumi, William, Anne, Ben, and Tim."

The man in the white T-shirt nodded and knelt down to Clementine's level.

"I'm Chet," he said. Clementine nodded shyly before hiding behind Lee.

"We shouldn't be out in the open where those walkers can see us. Hmm... how bout this? You guys help get this car outta the way and we'll give you, your daughter, and you guys a lift to my family's farm where it's safe," Shawn offered. "Oh, I'm not her dad. I'm just... some guy," Lee said, hesitating on the last part.

"Some guy?" asked Shawn before he glanced over at Clementine.

"So she's alone?" Clementine nodded. Shawn looked at the gang. "And you?"

"My parents are out of town and my cousin and his friends here are staying with me," Patrick replied.

"We better get you guys outta here, then," Shawn said. "It's pretty dangerous out here, especially for the little girl."

Chet turned around and gasped. "It's them monsters again!" he shouted.

The gang turned around and saw that almost a dozen walkers were coming towards them. Shawn quickly ran over to the car blocking the road and began pushing it. "Help me out here!" he yelled to them.

Lee, Ulrich, William, and even Clementine, ran over and helped him push the car out of the way.

"Everybody in!" Shawn ordered as he, Lee, and Clementine got into the front while Chet and the Lyoko Warriors hopped into the back.

They held on tightly as Shawn slammed his foot on the accelerator and they sped out of the town.

"For some guy, you saved a lot of lives today," Shawn told Lee without taking his eyes off the road.

It had gotten dark after a couple hours of driving. The group in the back was just chilling out. In the front, Lee and Clementine both exchanged smiles. After a few more minutes of driving, the truck stopped in front of a house with a barn near it.

Chet hopped out first. "I gotta go Shawn. It's hot dish night back at home and mama's gonna blow a gasket if I don't get home soon," he said.

"OK. Guess I'll catch ya tomorrow night," Shawn said.

Chet turned to the gang.

"Well it was nice meeting y'all," Chet told them. They waved goodbye as he walked into the dark.

"You think he's gonna be OK?" Aelita asked Jeremy.

"No idea," he replied with a shrug. "It's not really a good idea to head out with those things roaming around. Let's hope he makes it home safely."

Suddenly, the porch light came on and a man in a green outfit stepped out of the house.

Shawn smiled. "Hey dad," he greeted.

"I'm so glad you're okay," the man said smiling with relief as he hugged him before turning to the group behind Shawn.

"I see you've brought some guests," he said. "We need a place to stay," Lee said.

"Just you and your daughter and those kids then?" Shawn's dad asked.

"He's not her dad. He's just some guy that found her and rescued her from the monsters," Shawn said. "And these guys are friends of this kid's cousin," he said as he gestured to Jeremy.

His dad thought about it for a minute.

"Alright. Y'all can stay. But just for tonight. I got a family of three sleeping in the barn right now," he said.

"Thanks," Lee said. "Hold on. Lemme take a look at that leg," Shawn's dad said, noticing that Lee had been limping.

After a few minutes, he had fixed up Lee's leg a little bit. "It should start feeling better by tomorrow," he told him.

Lee nodded thanks before they walked into the barn. Like Shawn's father said, there were three people in the barn fast asleep.

They got the blankets and pillows they were given and spread them out. Clementine sniffed and wrinkled her nose.

"It smells like..." she began.

Lee smiled slightly. "Manure," he finished.

"Manure? You mean like when a horse... plops?" she asked. William couldn't help but snicker at this. Ben tried his best not to burst into laughter, but let out a chuckle.

"Well, night guys!" Odd said before falling asleep, despite the smell.

Ulrich rolled his eyes before lying down. He looked at Clementine and smiled slightly. "He's probably used to the smell cause his feet stink," he remarked. The girl giggled, but frowned and rolled over to face Lee.

"I miss my mom and dad," Clementine said to Lee.

"I bet Clem," he said.

"How far is Savannah?" she asked. Lee thought about it for a moment. "Pretty far."

"Oh. OK," she said before falling asleep. "Why'd she ask that?" Aelita asked. "Her parents are in Savannah," he said. "Oh," the rosette said in realization. "Poor kid. I hope her parents are alright," she thought before drifting off to sleep.

"Hey, get up," a voice said.

They groaned and woke up to see a man wearing a simple white T-shirt, jeans, and a cap. He also had a handlebar mustache and a mullet.

Clementine was already standing up. "Ugh, I'm itchy," she complained a little bit as she scratched her arms.

"Well, you slept in a barn little lady. Lucky you don't have any spiders in your hair," the man said with a smile.

Clementine gasped and quickly checked her hair for spiders when he said that.

"But I bet your daddy scared them all away, huh?", he asked. "Oh, he's not her dad," Yumi said.

"Name's Lee," Lee said getting up.

"I'm Kenny," the man said. Suddenly a boy around 10 years old peeked out from one of the barn doors.

"Hey Dad! We're gonna go build a fence! There's a tractor and everything!", the boy said before running towards the house.

"Well, he's excited," Tim remarked.

"We better hurry up or he won't let us hear the end of it," Kenny said with a sigh before the gang followed him outside.

"That's my son, Ken Jr., but we call him Duck," Kenny said.

Jeremy smirked and looked up at the older man. "Dodging or quacking?", he asked.

"Quacking," answered Kenny.

"DAAAD!"

"Ya see what I mean?"

They walked over to Duck, who was with a woman wearing a shirt with a floral design on it and brown jeans.

"Hershel told us that you guys are headed to Macon," Kenny said.

"My family's from there," Lee said.

"Well, Macon's on the way and personally I'd appreciate the company of people that can knock some heads together," Kenny said.

Lee gave a small smile. "Let's see what the girl wants first," he said.

Kenny nodded. "Ah, gotta see what the missus wants, huh?"

Lee knelt down. "What do you think?", he asked. Clementine nodded her head yes. Lee looked up at the gang. "What about you guys?" he asked. Odd shrugged. "Well, personally, I'd go with you," he said. "I agree with him. I think it'd be safer if we go with you," said William.

"Katjaa and Duck, this is Lee and... uh, what're their names again?"

"The little one is Clementine. This here is Odd, Aelita, Jeremy, Yumi, Ulrich, William, Anne, Ben, Tim, and Patrick," Lee said introducing the gang one by one.

Katjaa smiled. "It's nice to meet you," she said.

Shawn walked over to them and said, "Well, we better get to work. We know what those things out there can do. The faster we build that fence, the better."

Duck got excited when he heard those words.

"I wanna build a fence!" he exclaimed. Shawn chuckled and turned to the boy. "Yeah? I need a good foreman. Tell you what. You can sit on the tractor and yell at me while I take a water break."

"On a tractor?! Cool!" Duck shouted before running to the fence with Shawn. Kenny went to work on his truck and Clem sat down and talked to Katjaa.

"Hey Jeremy? Can I talk to you for a second?" asked Aelita. "Sure," the blonde said as the rosette led him to the barn.

"Hey, is that a tire swing?!" Odd asked as he ran towards a tree. Ulrich rolled his eyes before he shoved his hands into his pockets and walked to the backyard. Katjaa chuckled. "He seems so energetic," she remarked. William smirked. "You could say that. It's very hard to get him to shut up at times," he said before he turned on his heel and went to help Kenny with his truck.

"So, where are you and your family from?" asked Lee. "We're from Fort Lauderdale," Kat said. "I hope we can go back tomorrow."

"Well, my friends and I are from France. Jeremy's cousin Patrick used to live there, but he moved here a few months ago," said Yumi. Clementine and Katjaa were surprised.

"You came all the way from across the ocean?" she asked incredulously. Anne smiled. "Yeah, we took a plane here, but Ulrich wasn't on board with that at first," she said.

"So, what do you do when corpses aren't walking around?" asked Lee.

"I'm a veterinarian, but I work mostly with dogs and cats," said Katjaa. "And you?"

"I used to be a professor at the UGA."

Ben smiled slightly and sat down next to Clementine. "We're students at Kadic Academy. It's a boarding school. Most of us have our own rooms there, except for Yumi, because she lives several blocks away from it," he said.

"You actually live at a school?" Clementine asked incredulously. "Not exactly. Some of us would stay there because we lived too far away from Kadic. We mostly stay there for classes until we have breaks or vacations. It can get pretty boring there sometimes, but some of us know how to have fun there," said Ben.

"Like what?"

"Well, Odd likes to play pranks on Jim, the school's Phys Ed teacher." Ben said as he began telling Clementine about the hilarious moments at Kadic while Lee wandered to the backyard.

Jeremy and Aelita sat side by side on top of a hay bale.

"Do you think XANA's got anything to do with this?" she asked. The blonde shrugged.

"Remember the time when XANA possessed Kiwi and whoever he bit turned into a zombie. Even Odd turned into one." she said, reminding the mini Einstein of the attack. Jeremy shuddered. He almost turned into an undead creature himself during that attack!

"You're right. He did it once, who's to say that he can do it again?" said Jeremy.

Suddenly, a shrill cry of pain filled the air.

"What the?!" Aelita shouted. "Come on!" Jeremy said as they hopped off the bale.

They ran to the fence and were shocked by the scene in front of them. Shawn was pinned to the ground with his leg trapped under the tractor, which Duck was on. He had accidentally driven the tractor over Shawn's leg. The boy had a terrified expression as he saw what he had done.

The rest of the residents of the farm joined them.

"I'll get my gun!" Hershel shouted running into the house. The problem got worse when a walker came from out of nowhere and grabbed Duck, nearly pulling him over the fence.

"DUCK!" Kenny gasped.

Lee quickly ran over to Duck and fought the walker while Anne and William attempted to pull Shawn out from the tractor.

Kenny ran to help Lee and managed to free Duck from the walker. Shawn, however, wasn't so lucky.

Anne and William had failed at helping Shawn. Two more walkers had came and broke through the fence. They landed on Shawn and started biting into him.

Hershel quickly ran over and shot all the walkers in the head, killing them.

He knelt down to Shawn. "Dad... I..." Shawn weakly said before going limp. Hershel checked for a pulse.

Nothing.

The old man closed his eyes. "Get. Out." he seethed before getting up and glaring at them. "ALL OF YOU GET OUTTA HERE NOW!" he shouted at them.

Anne jumped at his tone and hid behind Ben and Tim, who were equally nervous.

Kenny looked down at the ground and muttered, "I'm sorry."

"SORRY?! You don't get to be sorry! You're son is alive! Mine just died!" Hershel growled angrily at him. He glared at Lee.

"AND YOU! You didn't even TRY to help while those two did!"

"I was worried that they would get the little boy," he said.

"Well you should have tried to save BOTH of them!" Hershel shouted before turning around and stared at the ground. "Please just go. GET OUT and never come back," he said before kneeling back down next to Shawn.

Kenny looked at Lee, Clementine, the Lyoko Warriors, and Patrick.

"You guys got that ride to Macon if you still want it," he muttered before walking back to Katjaa and Duck.

A few minutes later, Lee, Clem, Katjaa, Duck, and Kenny got into the front part of the truck while Patrick and the Lyoko Warriors climbed in the back.

Before Aelita got in, she put a flower that she had found in the yard next to Shawn and whispered, "Thanks for the help," before rushing back to the truck. Anne took off her hat for a minute in respect before the engine started up and they left.

And as they left, Hershel stared at them as they drove out of view.
