DISCLAIMER: I don't own LOST, but if I did, I would make Sawyer less emo and Juliet still alive!

Sawyer was sitting in his living room with a drink in one hand, his book in another and his glasses perched on his nose. He finally had the night off. You'd think that after a month on the island, he'd have a break once in awhile. Well, he didn't. Ever. He heard soft footsteps coming down the stairs; he looked up and saw Juliet standing on front of him. One of her eyebrows was raised in surprise at him being home. "Yes?" he asked slowly in his southern drawl.

"What are you doing home?" Juliet replied softly.

Sawyer put his book down and scooted up on the chair. "Because I don't have to work tonight. Is that so hard to believe?"

"Kind of. They make you work all the time," she said, sitting down across from him. "Let's do something."

"I don't know," she said, but an idea was forming in her mind. "Hey, James. Come here."

"What?" he asked gruffly.

"I'm going to teach you how to dance."

"Blondie, I already know how to dance."

"I don't believe you," she challenged.

"You're on!" He grabbed her right hand and put his left on her waist. He swirled them around the room, using some techniques he had gained over the years. A smile was spreading across her lips.

They had reached a point in the song that Sawyer deemed for a trick. He placed both of his hands around Juliet's waist. He lifted her up in the air and twirled her around a few times. Juliet gave a gasp of surprise, but then laughed. He put her down and quickly spun her around, finally dipping her. "Well, Jim LaFleur, I guess you can dance," Juliet said from where she was. Sawyer laughed and pulled her up.

"Thank you, Juliet Burke. I'm glad I've finally proved you wrong," he smiled. She laughed and then kissed him, making sure that he understood that she was glad too. She broke away and then went into the kitchen, smiling and humming as she went.
