"Come on Angela, just try it."
"No, leave me alone, Jack. I don't want any."
Jack Hodgins trailed Angela Montenegro through the Jeffersonian's hall with a bowl in one hand. The other held a spoon which he used to make wide gestures at her.
"Angela, I'm serious. You have to try this soup. It's amazing."
"Ahh!" Angela finally gave a loud groan and stopped short, turning toward him. Jack just barely managed to stop before ramming into her.
He gave her an irritating smile and lifted the spoon towards her mouth once again.
She stuck one slim hand on her hip and looked at the spoon suspiciously, "What is it anyway?"
"Potato soup au gratin. My cook made it and it is the most delicious thing I have ever tasted. Just try it." Jack smiled as Angela leaned in to look into the bowl, still warily.
"Come on," Jack said with his usual leer, "You know you want to."
Fighting the urge to smile she leaned finally gave up, "Okay, Okay. I'll try it," she said making sure to sound as put out as possible as she leaned forward and opened her mouth.
Smiling at her and doing a silent cheer at his victory, Jack brought the spoon full of potato and cheese up to her mouth. She closed her lips around the spoon, hmming as the taste of the soup hit her full force. Her breathy groans driving him insane as his eyes remained transfixed on her lips.
"You were right. That was delicious."
"Uhh, Ange" Jack said, "You have a little cheese on your lip."
"Where?" she said and rather then show her he lifted his hand up to wipe it away. At the same time her tongue darted out to clean her lips and swiped along his fingers. He pulled back immediately, feeling the touch like an electric shock. His clear blue eyes met hers and for a moment neither moved.
Before either could speak again Angela heard Brennan's voice calling her. "I better go," she said nodding in the direction of the voice.
"Oh…right, go ahead."
Angela turned to walk away, but a few steps later she turned around, "Thanks for the soup, Jack."
Jack Hodgins smiled and brought the spoon to his mouth, tasting delicious potato, cheese and the slight, but unmistakable taste of the even more delicious Angela Montenegro.
