A/N: Disclaimer I do not own HP or Seamus but Dawn is all mine. This is my first Harry Potter fanfic so pleeeease be nice. Rate and and review, and I will take any CONSTUCTIVE criticism into consideration, anything you say helps.
"Seamus!" I whispered.
The young Irish boy turned around and walked over to me.
"What is it Dawn?" He asked, pulling me around the corner inside the Hogwarts castle.
I looked around noticing that we were practically surrounded.
"Not here."
I grabbed his hand and lead him to the room of requirements so we could be alone. Once inside I shut the door behind me then ran to Seamus and hugged him tightly. We were preparing for a war that was going to happen any day now, and just like everyone else we were terrified. He hugged me back just as tightly, we've been secretly seeing each other since our 3rd year.
"I know Dawn, I know, I'm scared too." He said stroking my back.
"I'm not scared to die, if I do at least I'll have die protecting my home, I'm scared that I might lose you." I said looking up at him.
He looked down at me and attempted to give me a reassuring smile.
"I can't promise you that I'll make it, no one here can," I started to look down but he grabbed my chin and made me look back up at him, "but if we both survive, then will you marry me."
I didn't know what to say, his question defiantly caught me off guard. Yes was the only word I managed to croak out. I stood up on my tip-toes and kissed him, nothing feverish, but defiantly passionate. We both jumped when we heard an explosion outside, probably meaning that the fight had finally started.
"We gotta get out there now." I said pulling back from our kiss.
He nodded and pulled me into another hug.
"I love you." Seamus muttered.
"I love you too." I said before ran out in opposite directions.
After it was obvious that Harry had defeated Voldimort and that we'd won I went looking for Seamus. But I couldn't find him anywhere I looked. I ran all over the castle and back outside and I still couldn't find him. I dropped to my knees and just lost it. The only guy I'd ever been in love with was gone from my life forever.
"Dawn! Dawn!" I heard a very familiar voice yell behind me.
I jumped to my feet and whirled around locating the source of the voice. I ran at him and was embraced by my Irish pyromaniac lover.
"I thought I'd lost you." He said practically crushing me.
"No, I'm still here and still yours." I said smiling.
I pulled away just enough to look up at his mild scorched face.
"What happened?" I asked.
He looked a little confused at first until I gently touched his face.
"Oh, that yeah, slight misshape with a spell." He laughed.
"Wow, even after 7 years of practice and at the worst time possible you still manage to blow yourself up." I laughed at him.
"Well of course, this is me we're talking about after all. He said matter-of-factly.
I shook my head.
"I love you my little pyromaniac." I said locking my arms behind his neck.
"I love you too." He smiled.
