AkuRoku: Saving My Savior - Chapter 1

I stood in the doorway, watching his beautiful sleeping form, just like every other night. His blonde spikes were dishevelled and falling across his angelic face. Pale lids concealed those depthless oceanic eyes and thick lashes brushed his high cheek bones. This was my favourite time of day, when I could watch this magnificent boy, so innocent and peaceful in sleep. It makes all my worries just float away, it reminds me why I'm alive.

He groaned and rolled over, stirring in his sleep. I stepped back around the corner, into the hallway, in case he woke up.
"Axel..." I couldn't be sure if he had seen me, or if he was dreaming.
He snored lightly and I heard him roll over again. I sighed silently. He hadn't seen me, I was safe. He was just dreaming... about me. The thought made my heart flutter in my chest.

"Axel..." He murmured. I smiled, and peeked around the door again. I loved hearing him say my name, whether it was out of anger, frustration, happiness, exasperation, I didn't care. It was even better when he said it in his sleep, it made my heart flip. He rolled over again, making the sheets tangle up in his legs.
"Axel... I love you..." I froze. Did he just say-
"I love... you..." I felt my heart swell - I thought it was going to burst out of my chest!
"I love you, too... Roxas.

"About time you got up." I said, hearing Roxas stumble into the kitchen.
"Nmmmhn..."
I chuckled. He was never coherent until he'd had his Wheat Bix (yeah, he's a Wheat Bix kid. He has five!).
"I swear, you are the laziest roommate I have ever had!" He attempted to glare at me as he shoved a spoonful into his mouth, milk dripping down his chin.
"I'm the only roommate you've ever had." He mumbled. I shrugged.
"The point still stands." I watched him, taking in his breathtaking eyes, my gaze raking over his tanned bare chest, the sinewy muscles rippling as he moved. His cheeks turned a rich crimson when he felt my eyes on his body.
"What the hell are you looking at?" Roxas grumbled, avoiding my eyes. I smiled slyly.
"Nothing."
"Whatever."

I lent back against the sink, crossing my arms over my chest, as my roommate stood up, grabbed his bowl and came over, reaching around me to dump his dishes in the sink. He blushed again when he lent too far, causing my hand to brush his naked chest. The skin was smooth against my knuckles, and I was surprised when he rested the hand that had reached around me, on my lower back. My breath caught in my throat as we stared at each other, his aquamarine gaze drilling into my emerald eyes. A light breeze from the window behind me rustled my fiery red hair. Roxas' lips parted slightly and I could feel his hot breath on my neck. I wanted to taste it, to taste him! I longed to press my lips to his, to hold him tight and never let him go. I wanted to hear him say my name and make him mine, forever. I had never thought of myself as gay, or even bi, but there was just something about Roxas, something no other man or woman had. It was like a magnet, or gravity. I was drawn towards him, and only him. I loved him.

I'd been so wrapped up in my thoughts that I hadn't realized we'd been leaning towards each other, until I was snapped back to reality when his nose brushed against mine. Roxas closed his eyes and pressed his lips gently against mine. My eyes widened before they slipped shut and I started to kiss him back. I unfolded my arms and cradled his face in my hands, loving the feel of his plush lips, drinking in the taste of him as he opened his mouth under mine, sliding his tongue over my lips, before pushing past them when I responded.

All too soon, he pulled back, looking me in the eyes, before blushing and hiding his face, nuzzling against my neck. My hands fell to his waist, wrapping around him. I couldn't stop smiling as i kissed Roxas' blonde spikes.
"Thank you." I mouthed.
