Kuvira sighed. She let her feet carry her to her favorite tree. She hesitated not sure whether to sit with her back to the trunk or climb into the branches. She sat down and drew her knees up to her chest. She cried, her shoulders shaking. Slowly her tears stopped and she relaxed. She curled up and went to sleep unaware of just how worried Suyin Beifong -Su- really was.

Back at the Beifong house...

It had been several hours since Kuvira had run from the house after being yelled at by Su's younger sons Wing and Wei. Su turned to her oldest son Bataar Junior.

"Can you go look for her? It's been several hours and it's raining." She said. Bataar put on his coat and grabbed an umbrella. He searched for Kuvira. He called her name. A guard stopped him.

"I saw her heading for her favorite tree." The guard explained. Bataar thanked him and went to the tree. He laughed softly. Kuvira lay asleep at the base of the tree. Her black hair -usually braided- had come undone. Her fern-green eyes were closed and a single tear remained on her eyelashes. Several raindrops were on her cheek but she had never been more beautiful to Bataar. He knelt and reached out, gently grasping her shoulder. He shook her gently. Her fern-green eyes slowly opened.

"Bataar?" She asked. He nodded. She smiled. He helped her to her feet.

"Kuvira?" He asked. She was rebraiding her hair. She tied it off and looked at him.

"Yes, Bataar?" She asked. He stepped closer and took her hand.

"Teach me to dance." He said. Kuvira smiled. She put her free hand on his shoulder.

"Put your other hand on my waist." She said. Bataar gently placed his hand on her waist. Kuvira guided him through the steps of the dance. He became more confident in the movements and the two danced.

"This is kind of fun." Kuvira said giving him a smile.

"What?" Bataar asked. Oh gods how he wanted to kiss her.

"Dancing in the rain is kind of fun." Kuvira said. She looked into his eyes -a paler green than her own- and silently pleaded with him to kiss her. Bataar lowered his head and his lips brushed Kuvira's. He kissed her gently. Kuvira forgot the rain, forgot that she was in the rain without a jacket or umbrella and forgot that anyone could see them. The only thing that was on her mind was the need to say three certain words.

"Bataar?" She asked after pulling away and resting her head on his chest.

"Yes, Kuvira?" Bataar asked laying his cheek on top of her head.

"I love you." Kuvira replied. Bataar smiled.

"I love you, too, Kuvira." He said before handing her the umbrella. She grabbed his arm with her free hand and pulled him under the umbrella with her. Her hand slipped into his. Ignoring the startled looks the two walked back to the house hand-in-hand.
