Her Smile

Sasuke was in his bed thinking of a little story his mother used to tell him when he was little. The story was quite simple actually, a simple love story. There once lived a young boy who saw a beautiful girl. She smiled and laughed all the time when she was around people, but it was always the same smile, yet people always loved it all the same. But the boy was different; he wanted her to smile in a different way, but only for him. A smile that was meant for him, and only for him. Over the years he had managed to make his wish come true, she had shown him that smile, that special smile. The boy was never one to believe in happy endings, but he had his very own.

It was just another normal day in the leaf village. Sakura sat under a shady cherry blossom tree and buried her nose in a medical book. Then a shadow loomed over her, she raised her head, it was Sasuke. She closed her book and lightly put it on the grassy floor. Sakura studied his features, he had defiantly grown since he left Konoha, he was more muscular and his face had lost the boy look, yet he was as handsome as ever. A small smile spread on her lip, but was quickly shaken off, as Sasuke was about to speak.

"Sakura, I," he sigh, this was harder than he thought. "I really like you. We've known each other for a long time and I think I-I might love you. It's okay if you don't feel the same way, I completely understand."

Sakura looked at him as she registered all she heard into her mind. She tackled Sasuke down with a big hug; he could feel the tears on his back, tears of joy. "You don't know how long I've waited to hear that." She said as her sobbing stopped and a smile spread on her face. He did it, he made Sakura smile, that special smile that was only meant for him. That was all he has ever wanted from her, a smile that was only meant for him. Sasuke like the boy was never one to believe in, yet like the boy he had his own happy ending. The story was true, for he made it true.
