Professor Severus Snape, former Death Eater, spy, and Headmaster of Hogwarts was shocked to his very core.

James and Lily was in an affectionate embrace, looking upon the latest addition to the Potter family. Beside him, Severus Snape looked down into the cradle, disbelief on his pale, wan, face.

"He named one of his brats after me?"

"Albus Severus Potter," declared Harry, unaware of his audience, in St Mungo's maternity ward. A young, but sturdy toddler looked gravely at his younger brother, while Ginny laid wearily in bed. It was not an easy birth, but it was more than worth it. Harry clasped his hand with hers.

Severus Snape smacked his right hand to his face in frustration.

"Look at it this way, Sev, it's the least Harry-we could do for all you've done for us," Lily smiled at him fondly. James grinned.

'Well, at least it's not Sirius's name I was related with.' He frowned dispassionately. Sirius appeared beside him and laid his arm around his shoulders in comradery.

"Hey, welcome to the family," he joked at Severus. The toddler giggled at Sirius's 'funny faces' as he wriggled his eyebrows. The infant in the cradle gurgled.

Severus decided, 'what the hell' and wriggled his fingers at the infant in the cradle, who immediately gurgled. James looked amused at his two bachelor friends and was finding it increasingly difficult to contain his laughter at the rare scene of Severus, willing, to humour a baby.

"Wait till I tell Dumbledore!"

A/N : Where I come from, it is believed that very young children especially infants could see spirits and ghosts, and I decided to play with that here. Hope you enjoyed this!
