A/N: This is for Hogwarts assignment 4, Women's History: Influential Queer Women task #12 Write about someone going through a major change in their life. It's also for Slash September prompt Lee Jordan. It's 443 words.

Lee looked at all the boxes stacked around their new living room and couldn't believe that he was finally in Romania with Charlie.

The two of them had been dating since a few years after the war, and they had finally decided to move in together. It was just a case of deciding where they moved to. In the end, Lee decided to go to Romania as he was in between jobs, and he knew that Charlie would be devastated to leave his dragons.

"What are you thinking about?" Charlie said snaking his arms around Lee's waist.

"How good it is to finally be here," he replied.

It had taken a few months before Lee's application for a work visa was approved. As he wasn't working at the time he submitted it, nor did he have a job offer in Romania, he had to provide proof that he had enough savings to support himself until he could find a job.

"I'm glad you're here too. I know that moving here, and leaving everything behind is a big change for you. I just hope you will be happy."

Turning around to face him, Lee said, "Nothing could make me more happy than being with you."

The long weeks and months that went by without seeing each other had been extremely hard. Lee had thought many times if it was worth the effort, but each time he saw Charlie's face he knew it was.

The separation had also taken its toll on his boyfriend too, and the only way to resolve it was to make a major change in their living arrangements.

Lee had no doubts about moving to Romania and moving in with Charlie, the only worry he had was leaving George behind. Although his friend now had a family of his own, there were still days were Lee could tell that Fred's death still haunted him. He felt guilty leaving knowing that George relied on him when things got a little rough.

I hope he understands why, he thought.

Although George had assured him that everything would be okay and said he understood, there was an air of sadness when the friends said goodbye. The feeling was bittersweet, but it wasn't as if they would never see each other again. In fact, Lee and Charlie had invited most of their relatives to come and stay with them once the house was completely sorted.

"I feel the same," Charlie said before leaning down and kissing him gently.

It didn't matter if he was in a foreign country and didn't know anyone, so long as Lee had Charlie by his side he would be okay.
