Ok I'm only writing and posting this one. Because, well, read it and you'll know why. Please leave your comments anyways, just in case. I love you all, especially the one who doubts it the most.

Ruined Eyes

Thru the folds of her blankets she watched rain hammer against the windows. Lightning lit the heavens and thunder made her heart jump.
As if her heart hadn't been thru enough.
She shut her eyes shaking franticly at the memory of the past months.

She knew for the longest time what she wanted to say, but eyes held her back.
Beautiful pale blue eyes.
They etched into her brain like fire at it's hottest. Looking at her with such compassion. They knew she held great secrets. The pale blue eyes asked time and again.
She only shut her eyes.

Then the words. The best time of the day. Ruined. This time brown eyes. Desert stricken brown eyes. These eyes weren't sure about anything, yet stuck in it's pride and dignity. Questioning simple things with big answers. Yet those eyes pain the ones who look for something deeper.

The eyes unseen. The eyes only viewed in her dreams. Dreams she holds on to and vows never, never again. Trust is not an option. Not even with these eyes.

Opening her own eyes she sat up. Looking around the place she called her own. Her masked eyes softly touching the memories. The stereo, which never played a song of hope. The dusty books never read. The window fan that only brings ice to the blood. The shards of glass, that let the blood run.

Choking back her tears her eyes met her manga, the girls eyes piercing into hers.
'Those eyes hold no secrets, but are beautiful.'
Facing the mirror now, the manga in one hand, a shard of glass in the other.
'Why should eyes that are nothing but masked and not beautiful live to face the eyes of others?'
She took a deep breath.
'Eyes that say they know me. Eyes that don't want something deeper. Eyes that say they don't believe me, don't want me...'
The manga fell from her hand.
'Besides' she hushed in between inevitable tears, 'the world doesn't need another pair of ruined eyes...'
