Hi guys! I'm super happy to be doing this story. I've been re-reading the Percy Jackson series and I love the underwater kiss. (Hint hint) ;)
Anyway, here are the things you need to know before reading the story:
1. None of the characters are mine. Sadly enough. :(
2. It contains spoilers up to Flashback
3. Since Wylie isn't super well described(personality wise) I'm going to portray him as super kind and funny and cheerful
4. Tiergan has a pool (don't question it you'll get it later)
5. Plese review, even if it's just to say hi. I'm lonely.
"Hey, uh, Tam?" Wylie asked.
"Yeah?"
"Where's Linh?"
"In the pool. Why?"
"No reason. I just wanted to talk to her."
Wylie walked down to the pool, his heart hammering in his chest. I have to tell her. He told himself.
He sat on the edge and rolled up his pants.
As he dipped his toes in, he watched her twirl around at the bottom of the pool. Her silver-tipped hair glided around her face as she giggled. She was so beautiful.
Wylie Endal! He scolded himself. Stop it!
"Wylie!" She grinned, popping her head out of the water. "Come on!"
"I can't. I don't have a swimsuit," he said with a sad smile.
She smirked. The water suddenly grabbed him and he plopped under, trying to swim up for air.
Linh gathered all of the bubbles in the water around their heads and Wylie gasped.
"Sorry. I forgot you couldn't breathe underwater." Her voice sounded tinny, like she was speaking into a drinking glass.
"It's fine." He said, blushing at how close their faces were.
"I love it down here." She smiled. "It's like you can finally get away from all of the chaos."
Wylie smiled, too. "It's beautiful." He said, locking eyes with her.
She blushed. "What is?"
He took a deep breath to calm his nerves.
"You."
He leaned forward just enough to kiss her lightly on the lips.
Linh stared at him in awe. She shook herself out of her stupor and leaned forward to kiss him again.
They stayed there for a few minutes.
As they broke apart, Wylie grinned. "Who knew you were such a good kisser?"
She blushed and giggled. "Come on. Let's go find my brother before he finds us."
Oh no. Her brother. Tam was going to kill him.
Linh giggled again, and as if she had read his mind, said, "Don't worry. We don't have to tell him anytime soon."
Wylie breathed a sigh of relief. At least for now.
