Silent Goodbye

Vegeta lay wide awake with Bulma lying peacefully on his side, his right arm curled around her protectively, keeping her safe from any danger but he never included himself but everyone else did, everyone saw him for the monster and murderer he truely was yet his mate, Bulma never saw that; she saw someone who was lost, who needed help and a home to live in, shelter, warmth, comfort, a hand to hold. He closed his eyes and thought about the last few weeks, their 'relationship' was hidden between everyone who knew them, even Bulma's parent's - though suspicious - weren't exactly sure what was going on, having consumated their love, well lust, for one-another Vegeta felt he had finally found someone to call his own again.

He watched the dawn rise through the city buildings and skyscrappers, he turned his attention back to Bulma, so delicate, so harmless yet she could tear the world down with her words, pathetic punches and threats, it was bewildering but attractive, Saiyans always mated with a strong-willed woman, it was in their nature.

Vegeta's mind then crashed back into reality, the Androids, the first reason and only why he stayed, the reason he used this compound, the reason he became closer to the blue-haired woman, but that wasn't enough, having ascended only a short time ago was difficult to maintain and he was anxious for practice and surpass his rival, he desired to be at his fullest potential for the Androids, Kakarrot and any new threat he would face, he would never allow himself to stay second best.

He pulled himself away from Bulma, her breathing soft and gentle. The Saiyan Prince took one last strong stare at the woman he cared for, he couldn't become distracted any longer from his goal to be the best, He changed into his blue spandex training gear with a newly made chest plate to protect him, pulling on his gloves and boots he linguered at the door, staring at her once last time he eyed a notepad and simply wrote; Goodbye, Woman -Prince Vegeta. He left the room, his heart morphing back into it's cold, hardened shell of ice and rock, his scowl grafting it's way into his face as his trademark, his footsteps unheard as he left the compound, his thoughts clear of his life in the Capsule Corporation "Goodbye, Woman" was all that was needed to said.

Climbing into his space ship; the mobile gravity machine, he blasted off back into the cold, isolated depths of space, not to be seen for another year and a half. Alone, he roamed space in training for his true power. Alone Bulma awoke to an empty bed, a letter, an empty life and home, He was gone but a small part of him remained, inside her womb a growing half Saiyan child, unknown to all but a full-blooded Saiyan friend.
