aim, to the heart
don't let them go
don't hide from the dark
be brave
be strong
be human?
(perhaps not)
percy jackson slowly awoke to the blood red dawn, his eyes stinging in the smoke.
the war was vicious.
the ground was littered with blood and bones and abandoned weapons and fallen warriors, but he was still alive.
percy wasn't sure whether he was thankful for that.
kill, for love
they said it was revenge
there's blood everywhere
staining your fingers red
for power
for greed
for love?
(you'd rather die instead)
he was limping, dragging his mangled left feet behind him, bronze sword glittering in his hand, green eyes haunted and roving the battlefield to calculate the demigods' losses.
for his losses.
his eye turned at every glint of gold, at ever hint of grey, and he quelled his fear.
she wasn't there.
not in the camps, not on the battlefield.
his heart beat painfully fast.
where was she?
no one had seen her.
she was lost, in the horror of the war, in the madness of the fight.
this was no time for love.
this was war.
and percy jackson wouldn't go down without a fight.
i've returned. my fingers were itching and i couldn't stand the urge to write anymore. the plagiarized version of my story has been taken down and the offender has deleted her account.
here's a request from me: please don't ever plagiarize someone's works. it's hurtful and destructive and wrong. so please, don't do it. it's bloody hurtful.
so this is a mini-series of sorts inspired by the mahabharatha. it's an epic of a battle between two sides of a family, which only ends in tragedy and loss. so, it's the war between the gods and the demigods are their pawns. it'll be eighteen chapters long - similar to mahabharatha, in which the war was fought for eighteen days. it's a cross between poetry and drabble-ish structure. various perspectives, and a lot of deaths, so be prepared.
