This story is my first smut/M-rated story. It was somewhat inspired by "Future Parents Program" by Avari20 and "Ordinary People" by inadaze22, both of which have minor back stories involving Pansy/Ron pairings. I decided I would write my own. Albeit, this one's got my most favourite pairing involved ;P Everyone loves a Dramione, right? Welcome to the world of a one night stand with Ronsy. Enjoy! R&R!
It was a normal Sunday for Pansy Parkinson, as she walked down the walk of her little house in Ackerley to her maildrop. Her owl, Pandra had just dropped off the post for the day. She stroked the owl and fished the small stack of letter from the crate where her owl perched. Pandra hooted and flew to the window over the kitchen sink, hoping to be fed. Pans reentered her house, shuffling through the letters.
"A letter from Susan, I shall read that later," she mentioned off-hand, turning the kettle off on the stove. "Hmm, a letter from Percy Weasley, must be about that bewitched broom I brought him last week. What else- a postcard from Blaise and Maria from Italy, I hope the honeymoon is going well- and... oh my god..." Pansy was stunned by the final envelope in the stack. It was stark white with her name written in scrawl she recognized. Draco. The rose seal on the back released itself as she fervently tore open the envelope, but her heart sank at the image on the front of the card inside.
It was off her friend and former boyfriend Draco Malfoy and a girl she knew well, Hermione Granger. The image was charmed to show the hugging and waving, then him picking her up around her legs and spinning. Words along the bottom read: "Save the Date: September 1st, 2002". She gingerly opened the card and saw the scrawl inside:
"We are pleased to invite you to the wedding of Draco Lucius Malfoy and Hermione Jean Granger!
To be held in Hogsmeade on September 1, 2002 at 4:00 pm.
Please wear formal Muggle or Wizard attire
No wedding gifts required.
We look forward to sharing this special day with you. Please RSVP by owl"
Pansy was nauseous, she couldn't believe it. Draco? Marrying her? I thought they'd never last. She's muggle-born. Well, neither Draco nor I are prejudice and Lucius went to jail. But her? Well, they have been dating for three years now, I suppose I knew this day would come. Pansy felt tears welling up, but then she heard her mother's voice in her head.
Pansy darling, it's time to grow up. It been five years since you two ended things. He deserves to be happy and so should you.
Pansy did not cry; instead, she drew in a sharp breath, exhaled loudly, and wrote a reply to say she would be attending. As she went to attach it to Pandra's leg, the owl hooted darkly at her. "Are you hungry, Pan?" Pans inquired, stroking her head. The owl hooted in response. Pansy took a shaving of ham from the dish in the refrigerator and fed it to the owl, who happily hooted and then flew off to deliver the reply.
"I truly hope I'm doing the right thing here." Pansy sighed aloud.
