It's been a few months since Alex, the famous lion of the Central Park Zoo, turned into a penguin. Kowalski was able to cure Private with his issues, but he wasn't able to find a cure for Alex. Alex's father, Zuba, was still a penguin and he was still on Skipper's team. It was now five o'clock in the morning. Skipper was the first one who was awake. "Morning team." Skipper said. Private and Rico woke up. "Morning Skipper." Private said. "Hey." Rico said. Alex woke up. He was crying. "Crikey!" Private yelled. Kowalski woke up. "Oh great. Now what?" Kowalski asked. "Be nice." Private said. "I am! I'm just tired of Alex crying twenty-four seven." Kowalski said. "It sounds like you're annoyed at Alex again." Private said. "You got that right Private." Kowalski said. "Oh boy." Rico said.

Alex was still crying. "Zuba! We need your help!" Skipper yelled. Zuba woke up. "What happened?" He asked. "Alex." Skipper said. "Kowalski! can you hold me?" Alex asked. Kowalski sighed. "Seriously?" Kowalski asked. "Just do it Kowalski." Private said. Kowalski sighed and he picked Alex up. "What is going on here?" Skipper asked. "How should I know?" Rico asked. Then Kowalski put Alex down. Alex was still upset. "Kowalski, options." Skipper said. "Well I think Alex is having a panic attack." Kowalski said. "Again?" Rico asked. He was getting fed up with this. Kowalski nodded. "Yep. I'm in my lab." Kowalski said. However, before he can get to his lab, Alex cried louder. "Kowalski!" Alex screamed. "How did he go from a famous, fearless lion to a crybaby?" Rico asked. Skipper shrugged. Kowalski walked into his lab.

"Well I'm getting annoyed." Rico said. "Yeah. I can relate to Kowalski too Rico." Skipper said. "Private?" Skipper looked at his youngest brother. Private nodded. "I will regret this, but I agree with you and Rico." Private said. "Guys! You need to help Alex." Zuba said. "Why can't you do it?" Skipper asked. Alex screamed again. This time, Skipper had to put his wings over his ears. Could things get worse? Yes. Then King Julien walked in. "Hello happy penguins." Julien said. "Ringtail!" Skipper yelled. "Get out!" Zuba yelled. Then he went to Kowalski's lab. Kowalski looked at a picture of Doris. Zuba knocked on the door. Kowalski opened the door. "Yes?" He asked.

"Hello Kowalski. Alex needs you." Zuba said. "You're kidding right?" Kowalski asked. "No. He's having a panic attack and he won't calm down if you're not with him." Zuba said. "And why does he need me?" Kowalski asked. "He looks up to you Kowalski." Zuba said. Skipper walked into Kowalski's lab. "Hey." Skipper said. "Skipper, what's going on here? Why is Alex all over me?" Kowalski asked. "He could be very sensitive." Skipper said. "Zuba, what do you think?" Kowalski asked. "I don't know." Zuba said. "Well at least you're not arguing." Skipper said. "Oh yeah. I'll never forget the argument about being the sub leader in August." Kowalski said.

"Now please go to him." Zuba said. "Kowalski! Me need you!" Alex yelled. Kowalski cringed. "Ooh. I hate it when someone doesn't use correct grammar." Kowalski said. "Yeah. You always had that pet peeve." Skipper said. "Help!" Alex yelled. Kowalski sighed. "Let's go." Skipper said. Skipper, Kowalski, and Zuba left Kowalski's lab. "Go over to him." Zuba said. Kowalski walked over to Alex. "Hello." Kowalski said. "Kowalski, why did you leave me?" Alex asked. He had tears in his eyes. "I'm sorry. I just needed some alone time." Kowalski said. "I don't want you to leave me." Alex said.

"Okay. Now I know that this is not normal." Skipper said. Private and Rico were silent. They were watching the whole thing. "I've got an idea. I'll find a cure for Alex." Kowalski said. "You want to turn him back into a lion?" Skipper asked. "Well yeah, but I'm talking about his medical issues." Kowalski said. "I don't want to be cured or turned back. I like it here!" Alex yelled. "Private, Rico, calm Alex down." Skipper said. "Yes Skipper." Private said. Rico and Private walked over to Alex. "Skipper! I want Kowalski! I was so wanting him to do it." Alex said. Kowalski cringed again. "Can you please stop cringing?" Zuba asked. "I'm sorry, but your son doesn't use correct English." Kowalski said. "It's one of my two pet peeves. It's my first pet peeve."

"What's your second one?" Zuba asked. "When someone rushes the holidays." Kowalski said. "Just stop being mean." Zuba said. "I'm not mean! I'm just annoyed." Kowalski said. "He has two pet peeves." Private said. "Yeah. He told me." Zuba said. "I'm freaking out!" Alex yelled. "Oh boy. Okay. You need to relax and think of something positive." Skipper said. "Okay I guess." Alex said. "It's just that if you think negative, you won't be able to calm down." Skipper said. "Oh good. Skipper can watch Alex." Kowalski said. "Do you need anything?" Skipper asked. Alex nodded. "Yes. I need Kowalski." Alex said. Kowalski rolled his eyes.

"Oh why me?" He asked. "You need to help him." Zuba said. "Kowalski, he's freaking out." Private said. "Rico, Skipper, what do you think?" Kowalski asked. "Yep." Rico said. "Kowalski, it's the only way to calm him down." Skipper said. "Alright!" Kowalski yelled. He walked over to Alex. "Hi Alex." Kowalski said. "What took you so long?" Alex asked. "I'm sorry." Kowalski said. "It's alright." Alex said. "So are we getting along now?" Skipper asked. "I don't know. Kowalski?" Alex asked. Kowalski shrugged. "Well?" Skipper asked. Kowalski sighed and nodded. "Good. Alex, are you alright?" Private asked. "I'm fine now. Kowalski's helping me." Alex said. He smiled at Kowalski. Kowalski was not smiling. "Oh boy." Rico said. "Skipper?" Private asked. "What's up?" Skipper asked. "Do you think Kowalski and Alex will get along now?" Private asked. "I'm not sure Private. You know Kowalski." Skipper said.
