A/N: I know, I know. I dissapear for a million years and this is what I give you as my return? Sorry, sorry. This is what my mind gave me. And I have a few surprises for, hopefully next weekend, since it's my... 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY ON FANFICTION! YAY! So I have a bunch of stuff for my readers and I hope you can put up with my hectic life for a little bit longer. So now that my A/N is longer than the story... Enjoy.
It's been a long time since Emma Tolly was afraid of thunderstorms. She used to hide under the covers when a bolt of lightning hit. She'd heard many explanations for thunderstorms over the years but, now that she knows where they really come from, she can't be scared.
She knew these storms happened when Tancred Torsson got angry, or upset or even scared sometimes. She also knew that he couldn't control it. So now, instead of being afraid of the storm, she worries. She worries about her storm-bringer. She wonders why he's upset. She wants to help calm him down.
Tancred's storms have happened far and few between once they begin dating. His demeanor has changed. So when a storm hits, it is unexpected and Emma is surprised. There have only been a handful of times that Emma's gotten truly scared of Tancred's endowment.
It was a look she'd never seen on Tancred's face and a look she hoped she'd never see again. She knew he and his father had been fighting but, she'd never imagined it was that bad. The thunder and lightning was more terrifying than anything she had ever seen.
The storm lasted three days and it may have lasted even longer if Emma hadn't risked entering the eye of the storm. She left Tancred by himself in his room but, enough was enough. She braced herself and went into the same room as her boyfriend for the first time in three days. He wore a look of pure fury and Emma almost backed out of the room. But she didn't.
It took almost four hours to calm the storm but, it ended finally. Emma's seen the eye of the storm and she doesn't underestimate its power.
