A/N: A while back I took a Writer's Craft course where we had to do a fast fiction (write 100 word story while completing the challenge). I was so inspired by my fellow student's t-shirt that I wrote this. Hopefully you enjoy it.
Note: I have not read the Batman Comics. I'm an amateur fan whose knowledge is limited to the movies (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Under the Red Hood), Justice League, Batman Beyond, and Batman TAS.
End of the Legend
Darkness. Pain. Defeat.
How had he come to this?
Powerless. Useless. Hopeless.
He had been on top of the world.
Child. Idiot. Weakling.
He should have known it would end like this.
He wasn't like the others. Not fast, not strong, not smart. He wasn't able to do superhuman acts. He was just a moral in a costume. A broken child playing man's game. But the game was over now. Time had run out. The Earth was finished. After all, what could a mortal do when the gods had failed?
He opened his eyes.
Painfully he rose.
He could try.
