For a towering immortal reptilian Egyptian-Hittite-Aztec lightning god, Galamoth didn't look so tough. Maria had slain scarier monsters back when she was a kid, and her divine powers had only grown stronger in the past seven years. She boldly stared up at the demon with silk-covered fists clenched at her sides.
Galamoth waved his lightning rod in intimidation. Maria summoned the spirits of the four Sacred Beasts around her and charged into battle. There was no way she could lose.
Alucard found Galamoth's chamber about an hour after Maria had horrifically lost. He had no way of knowing exactly what had transpired, but the electrical scorch marks that covered the floor (which was actually the ceiling) of the inverted crypt didn't look promising.
Galamoth seemed to be expecting him, setting a scene that was all the more foreboding. The ancient storm wizard waved his wand overhead and unleashed a cone of lightning toward the chamber floor. The zagging bolts merged their sharp corners together and curved into a plasmic form in front of Alucard's eyes. He instantly recognized the figure standing in front of him when she was completely spawned.
The lightning elemental giggled under her crackling ozone breath. She was a temporary being sculpted out of material like electrified will-o'-wisp flesh. Her eyes swirled with raging white storms and her luminous silver hair weightlessly levitated behind her shoulders. Her voltage was unhampered: A pair of globes rounded off her slender torso with tiny flickering nubs standing triumphant, and a small patch of fluorescent shrubbery peeked out from where her thighs met. This thing was less Maria and more like an evil thunder nymph who had stolen Maria's raw mortal shape.
An electrical storm streaked through the air behind the elemental and made a terrible sound like a reverberating lightning dragon. Her bare feet left small scorch marks on the stone floor as she slinked her hips toward the dhampir prince.
Alucard drew his sword. The Gala-Maria instantly divided her currents and disappeared back into strands of electricity with a clapping flash.
Alucard cautiously turned his head looking for traces of Maria's magic energy signature. The chamber was completely empty except for himself and the massive figure of Galamoth bearing down from the shadows.
Suddenly, a bolt of lightning struck the ground an inch behind his heels. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up as electrified fingertips swept over him.
