Name: Fossil Fuels
Summary: When Yugi finds a weird green rock, everyone else dismisses it. It's just a spraypainted gag. It gives Yugi a funny feeling, and it turns out it's justified. When dinosaur-riding people and a girl who appears to carry lasers around in her pockets appear, they know they're in for one weird interdimensonal mashup. With everything from the Orichalcos returning to giant planet-eating space fish, they might just be in over their heads this time. AU YuGiOh/Fossil Fighters crossover.
Rating: T, for violence and possibly some suggestive content in later chapters.
Pairings: Puppyshipping Joey X Kaiba, Chaseshipping Duke X Tristan, probaby Tendershipping Bakura X Ryou, possibly others.
Notes: Yugi's Yami has returned to the afterlife in this one (that was so happy but bittersweet and I can't remove is in here). Otherwise, the Yamis have their own bodies.

Yugi had been walking home from school one chilly November day when he had tripped. He had laughed it off first, his friends, Joey and Tristan, laughing about it-everyone else was off on dates, or getting food, or on the bus. They had decided to walk to the game shop, however, which really was starting to seem like a bad idea.

"Wow, Yug, you really should watch where you're going!" Joey laughed.

"Aw, lay off. It's hard not to fall under the weight of our homework," Tristan whined.

That's when he noticed the rock he had tripped on.

It was bright green. Obnoxiously green. It looked like it had been painted with lime spray paint. Curious, Joey had been the first to pick it up.

"Hey, what's with that rock?" Tristan asked. He laughed. "Ah, what a gag. Spray paint a rock. How funny. Can we hurry up? I have a date with Duke tonight!"

Joey and Yugi rolled their eyes.

"I'm not sure about the spraypaint, though you may be right. But I have a strange feeling something weird's going on," Yugi said, ignoring the comment about the date.

It turned out he was right, and Ryou was the first to find out, just a couple hours later. They didn't understand it then, and they wouldn't understand it even later, but something had happened. And soon, mysterious green rocks would be the least of their worries.

AN: Yeah, I know, this sucks, and everyone's OC and all. It's my first fanfic, I normally write poetry and original stories. But this stupid crossover won't go out of my brain! It should get better as I continue writing. I'm almost through the first chapter. This is just a really short entry prologue thing.
