AN: Alright, here's number three! I think this will be the last one. I'm going to take a break in here somewhere to go and get some food. I've been writing these early in the morning due to the fact that I woke up and my internet is out. =3= Anyway, here's the story!

Xigbar sat alone atop one of the many peaks he used to share with his friend Demyx. The little blond had been exterminated by Sora, it seemed; he hadn't come back from his mission to Hollow Bastion, and it had wore on the elder male's nerves. He could just kill Roxas for this. Sora, whoever he was; he needed to die. Demyx had been his best friend. And, now, he realized just how much trouble they all were in. It seriously brought him down; his usual casual and laid-back persona seemed to fade a little bit, and if there was anyone who had noticed that, it was Xaldin.

"Xigbar...are you alone?" Came a tentative question from behind.

"Yeah, Xal, all alone up here." Xigbar sighed heavily, closing his eyes. "Whatcha need?" He tried to put on a mask to hide his true feelings, but with that depressed look in his single golden eye, Xaldin knew right away that it was a lie.

"Well...I got to thinking. You were alone, and I was alone. Don't you think it would be better for us to be alone together?"

"Alone means one by itself, Xal."

"...I know that, II. I was simply stating that you are my lover and we should not be apart like this just because your friend died."

"Hey, Demyx wasn't just any friend, okay? He was mine. And that makes him special. Kay? Got it? Don't talk about the kid like that, I really hate having a constant reminder that he's not gonna come barging into our room when we're in the middle of sex to tell me about some awesome half-pipe or something stupid he did. The kid was full of lulz and now I don't have that anymore. It's just difficult, okay?"

"Personally, I'm glad he won't be interrupting us, anymore. I never really liked him that much."

"Because you didn't understand him." The elder male sighed, "I got him, Xal. I was the only one, other than Axel, it seemed sometimes. I kinda wish we hadn't needed to be rid of Lex, coz I know he would have protected little Dem. They were brothers, after all." And Lexaeus had always shielded Demyx from everything that had been wrong, not making him do things he needed to. He'd overindulged him to make the blond lazy.

"If I did not know any better, I wouldd say he was your lover and I was your best friend, the way you talk about him like he was some kind of God."

"I do not....I just miss him. He could always find a way to brighten up my day, yanno? Without him it's like...gray skies all around."

"We always have gray skies here."

"You know what I meant, Xal. Shut up."

"I am only trying to help." Xaldin huffed, sighing before tugging Xigbar to him and kissing his lips hard. "Forget about Demyx; you can't do anything about it, and whining and moping about it won't bring him back. If we can complete Kingdom Hearts, there may be a chance of getting him and the other fallen members back." That held some kind of hope in Xigbar's heart and he smiled, nodding and returning the kiss.

"Alright, Xal. Then we'll work even harder for Kingdom Hearts."

AN: Alright, I know it was lame and short and not all that pairing-y, but I like this, surprisingly. I think it has some substance. :3
