He never blamed Sasuke. He really didn't. It was bound to happen sooner or later. Itachi and the Hyuuga didn't seem to get along very well, no matter how much either of them seemed to care for each other. He supposed it was their nature as shinobi. Not to mention that from the age of ten, Neji would have believed Itachi an evil mass murderer.
Sasuke still apologized though. He had failed to mention it was a platonic get together between Naruto and Neji, and it pressed on an emotion Itachi honestly didn't know he had; jealousy.
It had been week now since Itachi had actually talked to anyone, with the exception of Sakura. She would visit him, give him updated on the Hyuuga's condition, and leave. Though one time, as she left Sasuke was standing as his door.
Itachi didn't ignore his younger brother, but he didn't talk to him either. Instead the younger Uchiha followed Itachi back to his room, watching as he lay down on his bed, tired from the day.
Sasuke sighed, leaning his sword against the wall, crawling in the bed, laying on his side next to his brother. He rested his head atop Itachi's, hugging the elder against his chest.
"I'm sorry Aniki," he repeated. It was the second time Itachi had heard this.
Itachi didn't respond, instead he just threw his arm over his brother's waist, burying his face in Sasuke's chest.
