Minor Edit: Due to some advice from one of my reviewers, I am changing the title to 'Lucky'.

Disclaimer: Nope. FFX and all it affiliates and what not are not mine.

A/N: Very short drabble. 417 words. This was written in response to Gin's challenge from the Aurikku LJ community.

The rules were that it could be set at any time in any place, but had to include the line "Rikku, you're lucky. You don't know what it's like to lose someone."

Summary: There was one moment when Rikku felt she could truly hate her cousin.

"Rikku, you're lucky. You don't know what it's like to lose someone"

It was the one moment Rikku felt she could really hate her cousin.

"I mean, I lost Tidus. Lulu and Wakka, they both lost Chappu. Kimahri lost his entire tribe, mostly, when he was exiled from Mt. Gagazet. Even Auron lost Jecht and my father when they went on the pilgrimage. You're lucky. Rikku, you're lucky. You don't know what it's like to lose someone."

Yuna might have been slightly tipsy, and wallowing in her own sorrow. It had been a bit much, and she needed a break from all the heartache. So taking a few drinks, retreating into a dark room on the airship; it had taken its toll. And Rikku had come to see how she was doing.

After her spiel, Rikku said nothing. Simply turned and left the room.

"Rikku, you're lucky. You don't know what it's like to lose someone."

The words kept echoing in her head, like the reverberating footsteps throughout the hallway. Making her way to her own room on the airship, Rikku was in a daze. She felt as though she had darkness cast on her, and she couldn't see anything. It was all just a murky fog.

"Rikku, you're lucky. You don't know what it's like to lose someone."

The fog turned red. She sat on her bed, hearing the slight hiss as the automatic doors closed behind her. The fog swirled, becoming redder and redder, turning crimson. Then it started to take shape. A red coat was draped over her shoulders.

"Rikku, you're lucky. You don't know what it's like to lose someone."

A hefty weight shifted the bed as a pair of strong arms wrapped around the young girl's lithe form. Her head rested against a hard chest, stubble brushing her forehead as a pair of soft lips, so soft in contrast to the bristle on his chin, the unyielding chest, brushed her skin. Slowly, as she turned her face upward toward his, their lips met and for one moment, everything stopped.

Nothing existed except that one moment, that one kiss.

And then the dream faded.

"Rikku, you're lucky. You don't know what it's like to lose someone."

She looked at the sword lying on the bed and felt the sob choke her throat as she covered the pillow in tears; her form sprawled across the bed.

In that moment, Rikku hated Yunie.

"Rikku, you're lucky. You don't know what it's like to lose someone."
