AN: Alright, so I have decided to try one more Halloween fic for this year. I came up with this idea while I was reading The Reid Effect by Someone aka Me. Don't worry, it will be nothing like hers, but I suggest you read it, awesome story! Alright so here we go! ENJOY!

Disclaimer: *looks through plastic pumpkin full of candy* Connor what did you do with that piece of paper you got? *pauses as she listens to the 5 year old* Oh come on! I want those rights!

Reid was smiling. He almost never smiled unless he was making some sort of joke or quoting some statistic. Morgan looked at the calendar on his desk and saw it was the 29th. Halloween was on Sunday. Reid's favorite holiday was Halloween, which never made sense to Derek. After all they saw on a daily basis, he loved the day where people dressed up like the monsters they chased.

"Hey Reid?" Morgan asked, leaning back in his chair and lacing his fingers behind his head. He wanted to know why this holiday, if you could even call it that, was so important.

"No Morgan, I'm not doing your paperwork today" he said without looking up. Morgan chuckled. The kid was smart and he was sure Reid knew when he was doing Morgan's case files, he just never said anything.

"That wasn't what I was going to ask" he said. Reid paused.

"Oh, ok shoot" he said, looking up at his friend, partner, and wingman. Morgan smiled.

"What's so important about Halloween?" he asked. Reid smiled and sat forward eagerly. Emily had asked what he was doing that weekend, but she got annoyed when he tried to tell her of the origins.

"The ancient Celts believed that the border between this world and the Otherworld became thin on Samhain, or Halloween, allowing spirits…" Morgan shook his head, cutting Spencer off.

"No I meant, why is Halloween so special to you?" he asked. Reid sat back. Oh. No one had ever asked him that before nor had anyone cared. They just assumed he loved the candy, which he did. There was no contest there. I mean, who doesn't like the candy? Especially Snickers!

"Um, well…" Reid paused. How much should he say? How much did Morgan want to know, or was he just asking out of politeness? He cleared his throat and smiled. "It's my childhood. When I was young, I had to grow up fast. I had to take care of my mother when my father left and then being a child prodigy, I was never allowed to be a child. This is the one day of the year that I can be a kid again. It's the one day of the year that I can revert to another time in my life, one that I was never given the first time around" Reid explained. Morgan looked at him and smiled.

"Well kid" Morgan stood, grabbing his coffee cup on his way to the break room. He stopped and pat Reid on the back. "Happy Childhood" he said. Reid smiled.

"Happy Halloween to you too Morgan" Reid said as he went back to his paperwork. Morgan chuckled and got his coffee, watching Reid from the break room. The younger man wrote quickly across the page, wanting to be done so he could go home and get ready for his favorite day.

"If Reid can do it, so can I" Morgan said. Garcia walked in and smiled at him. "Happy Halloween, baby girl" he said as he walked back to his desk, pausing to kiss her on the top of the head. Garcia smiled. Morgan had certainly changed his tune about Halloween.

AN: Alright so that was short, but I was just thinking, Spence loves Halloween and he probably didn't get it as a kid, so it's the one day where he gets to act like a kid. I don't know what you guys thought, so please review.
