Zak walked into his room. It was time for bed. Although he wasn't going to bed: he was going to stay up until midnight. His mom always warned him that bad thing would happen to him if he did.
"I'm 11, I can handle it," he said to himself. The clock read 10:00. "It's only two hours. That isn't that bad. It will be over in no time." Zak lied in his bed. He needed to stay awake. He sat up in his bed and looked at his clock. It was 11:58. "Just two minutes," he said as his eyes locked onto the clock. It was now 11:59. Zak's heart started to beat harder as he anticipated the clock to hit midnight. He watched as the numbers on his clock flashed midnight. The room started to spin, then the lights went out. Zak passed out as he hit the wall. Everything went black.
Zak woke up. He looked up. He was sitting in a chair at a table.
"Hey Zak, are you awake," a voice called out. He looked over. It was his mom. Then he looked around the room. It was made out of concrete, like it was a bomb shelter. Then a man came up to Zak.
"Commander Saturday, your needed in the war room," the man said to him. Zak was confused; he wasn't a commander of an army. He started to walk by a mirror, then froze in shock. He looked at the tall figure with five o clock shadow that was being reflected at him. He was an adult! He was also a commander of an army! How could he lead an army when a few minutes ago he was an 11 year old boy who only had to study cryptids? This would be hard.
