Author's Note: Hello minna-san! I'm back again! I was inspired while in the shower, so I hurriedly rinsed out my conditioner and rushed for my netbook! :)
The Scent Surprise
Kenshin was standing in the produce section of Target holding an eggplant in each hand, trying to decide which vegetable was best suited for his purposes. He was shopping for groceries with his girlfriend, so he could cook them a delicious dinner that night.
Speaking of his girlfriend… She had mysteriously gone missing in the past few minutes.
Kenshin selected the eggplant in his left hand and placed the other back with its other eggplant friends. With his eggplant safely placed in the child seat in the front of the cart, the red haired man set off in search of his girl. Several seconds of head craning later, Kenshin spotted her over by the potatoes.
"Kaoru! You left me all alone. I had to choose the eggplant all by myself!" he cried as he approached her. She didn't answer, or give any indication that she had heard him.
"Kaoru?" Kenshin asked, slightly concerned now.
"Kenshin."
"Ye-es?"
Kaoru suddenly whirled around and shoved a strange, light-brown, bulbous, potato-like vegetable in his surprised face. "This is what you smell like?" she shrieked loudly in his ear.
Kenshin looked past her at the food display. There were more of the weird potato thing, and above them was a sign proclaiming the name and price. It read, in bright orange writing, "Ginger".
"Oro!"
The End
Author's Note: Google it. Ginger is the weirdest vegetable I have ever seen.
On a little side note, those of you who read Words might remember that I had to use WordPad. Well, now I'm using this strange program called Microsoft Word Starter. It suddenly appeared out of nowhere a couple weeks ago, and I have no idea if I get to use it for as long as I want or if it's just a demo thingy or what! Just thought I'd let y'all know…
