Just Say You'll Love Me Forever
Note: This takes place in season three, when the O.C. gang is entering senior year.
Ryan stood in the pool house's bathroom, adjusting his tie. There were three rapid knocks on the glass door.
"Ryan?" Marissa called.
"Right here!"
Ryan stepped out of the bathroom to see Marissa sitting on the right side of his bed. She looked gorgeous. Her hair fell in soft curls down to her bare shoulders.
"Ryan…Ryan!"
" Mhm?" He couldn't help staring.
" It's Chanel— the dress I mean, since you seem to like it so much," Marissa giggled.
"Ah, er, yeah, the dress, you, you…look gorgeous" He quickly pulled her down onto the bed with him.
She rested her head on his chest. They began to kiss, her hair brushing against his lips. Marissa took Ryan's face in her cupped hands and kissed him, ruffling his hair.
"Coop!" Summer came in, dragging Seth behind, who had his hand over his eyes.
Ryan and Marissa jumped apart, looking guilty.
Summer and Seth surveyed the scene.
"See, Sum, I told you. They were busy."
"Shut up, Cohen" Summer said, whacking Seth on the arm with her Louis Vuitton tote.
"We were, just, ah, you know…" Marissa began.
"Coop! You're hair is all messed up!" Summer shrieked.
Marissa shrugged, patted it down and then sighed, "Everyone ready?"
"Now," Seth began questioningly, "What would've happened if we hadn't walked in?"
"We would've been a little late" Marissa giggled.
"Whatever," Summer stated. "If we don't get going, the step monster's gonna flip…I have her pain meds." Summer jiggled her purse, and the capsules shook.
The two couples walked out of the pool house, Seth and Summer holding hands, and Ryan and Marissa gazing into each others eyes.
The party had been all right, nothing special. Seth and Summer had retreated to Seth's room, "to read comic books", as Summer nibbled on Seth's ear. Now Marissa lay next to Ryan on his bed.
"You're sure?" Ryan gazed up into her eyes.
"Yes!" Marissa half giggled, half kissed him on the cheek.
"Good, I've been waiting."
With that, Ryan gently rose up, locked the door, and took off his shirt. Marissa trailed her pinky along his arm.
"I love you."
"Good answer, Chino."
In Seth's room, the couple was doing far more than reading comic books.
"Ya know, Sum, the new X-Men just came…"
"Cohen." Summer locked the door.
Seth let his new comic fall to the ground, without its protective wrapping.
"Just one thing, Summer?" Seth got up and turned Captain Oats the opposite way.
"For his virgin eyes?" Summer giggled.
"Yes, for his eh, virgin eyes. I however, prefer to see my work."
"Shut up and kiss me Cohen."
He did, and the two embraced.
"Summer?"
"Yes?" Her voice came out muffled.
Seth broke apart from her for a moment, holding her and gazing into her eyes.
"It's always been you."
Sorry it's so short, I wanted to see the reaction to it.
