I remember all of our faces when we watched the castle fall. We were all cheering as we watched the blaze of dust from the stones that tumbled on top of each other being swept away into the wind, the colours of yellows and reds that blended together and the sound of the castle falling and breaking into a million pieces... knowing that sheriff was somewhere buried under the piles of stone that you could see from a distance. knowing that he could have never survived. The place where the sherif had done his dirty deeds was now surrounding his dead body in one big hep. Our eyes were gleaming on the site that lied in front of us and the years we spent rebelling against his kind was now at an end. Some part of me even thought that this was not real, like a dirty trick and waking up with regret of it not being true. But it was real... The sacrifices that we made and the souls that we lost were not for nothing. We had done it. We had stopped the sheriff
I remember watching Robin and Archer running towards us as they were the final ones who had finished all of this. The castle fell in the distance as they were running for their lives. Thank The Lord that they didn't get swept away with the castle. The look of relief on their faces as they were running towards us as we were cheering them on, on what we had accomplished. But Robin did not look as satisfied as we were. Archer was next to me as we were all celebrating but Robin had seemed to be swept away in the crowd of bellowing villagers. As he walked away the villagers were patting him and thanking him for all what he has done for us.
As I was about to follow him, Tuck had grabbed me by the hand.
"Scarlett. There is something you should know," I started to stare at Tuck, waiting for what was about to follow.
"Robin," he had paused as if he had forgotten how to speak, like the words were stuck and could not come out."He was cut by Elizabeth. The knife was poisoned," my heart all of a sudden shattered into a million pieces. I froze as the world of all sudden became bitter. I was staring at Robin has he was walking further and further away from me. What was really further and further towards life itself.
"No..." I whispered to myself. I could not bear the thought of it happening. More tears started to fall from my cheek. "No!" I shouted from the top of my lungs. I pushed my way out if the crowd of people. The same crowd who were once cheering on what we had waited for years, for what was now a silent gathering of people dreading the words which they had just heard.
