I noticed nobody had actually done a story on this.

Slowly, Louise prayed again."I, Louise Françoise Le Blanc de La Vallière, in the name of the great Founder, follow my fate, and summon a familiar." she chanted, waving her wand in perfect measure. The words had power in it like none of the other students, though it had a higher chance of failing, due to being a modified spell.

Slowly, she pointed her wand forward, directing the power she felt in her veins, and forced it into the correct pattern.

That was her mistake right there. You see, from a much better place, a palace fit for a king, a single figure looked upon this act. "Hmhmhm. Follow your fate, huh."

In front of her, Louise felt an explosion bigger than any other she had ever made in front of her. The dust clouded her vision, but Louise knew, though she hoped it wasn't so, that she had failed. She fell on her butt, searching desperately for an animal, no matter how small, in the smoke. A wind came through, probably a spell, and pushed away the smoke.

Finally, Louise spotted what she had summoned. It looked like a small baby, except for it's clear intelligence, it had white hair and red eyes and was wearing a white outfit, compete with a fashionable jacket and shoes.

This confused poor Louise. What is it? she wondered. The white haired baby smiled happily, floating about three feet off the ground.

Suddenly, the little boy flew forward with remarkable speed towards her, catching her in a hug around her neck. After a few seconds of shock, Louise finally managed to get a sound out. "Wh-what?" she stuttered, trying to figure out what was happening.

The white haired child seemed to get it, as he backed up slightly. Now visible, the white haired boy coughed into his hand, rather elegantly actually. "I apologize for my earlier rudeness. Allow me to introduce myself, I am the magic construct, a Gamer's Shard." he introduced himself, puffing out his chest and putting one hand on his chest, hopefully not knowing that the motion was a strictly female one.

After a few seconds, Louise heard Guiche gasp. "A talking magic construct! Why, one must have worked his whole life to create such a thing! I-in fact! It would probably take several lifetimes!" he exclaimed. The white haired baby blushed slightly, especially noticeable thanks to his pale skin. "I am pretty special, but I'm nothing compared to The Master, or First Master."

Professor Colbert put a hand on Louise's shoulder, "As much as I am surprised to see such a powerful Magic Construct, you must complete the Familiar Summoning Ritual." he whispered.

Louise shook her head slightly, "Uhh. Gamer's Shard-thing, I need to complete my contract with you." she said. The white haired boy, already almost pure white, paled. Leaping forwards, he hugged her around her neck, "I'm so sorry Master! I completely forgot to make a Magic Contract!" he yelled. Coughing once more, he stared into her eyes with seriousness that does not belong in a child's body.

"How do you wish to do this?" he asked, unblinking. Louise, very offset by the seriousness in his voice, stuttered, "I-i-I'm su-suppose to kiss you, r-right?"she asked, not knowing what else to do. The white haired boy nodded, "That's one way to do it, but wouldn't a mutual blood pact save more Mana until I get everything set up?" he asked.

Louise shook her head, blood pacts were considered very barbaric, and, while they worked, were generally frowned upon. "Why a blood pact instead of a Rune?" she asked, honestly curious. The white haired baby shook his head, "Well, the thing I was made for was to take the Mana of my Master and convert it into a more useful form, using Mana to increase every part of their body, while using a small portion to maintain, and strengthen, myself. For that, I'll need to either need a blood contract, a deep emotional connection, or a life contact. While I believe I can use a Familiar Contract as well, I would have to get the power indirectly, thus making my functions weaker. I would propose having an open Familiar Contract, so I can use it when needed, but having our main bond be a blood contract, for constant Mana." he reasoned, making an illusion of everything he said above him.

Louis nodded, "That makes sense, but how would you make an open familiar contract?" she asked. The white haired boy smiled, "I'd have to take a copy of your Mana now, perhaps exchanging it later only if it becomes more potent." he explained, making another illusion, this time with a remarkably accurate picture of her body in one of the two frames.

Louise nodded again, sighing slightly under her breath, "Very well, I'll need a knife though." she sighed, knowing how painful the cut was going to be, as her Mana would have to pour through it. Stupid blood ritual. Mother was really mad that it failed. The white haired boy shook his head, holding up a small vial of blood. "Completed!" he proclaimed, making a small knife in his hand and cutting himself, mixing his own blood with it.

Louise cocked her head to the side slightly, "Huh?"

"What is it?" asked Mr. Colbert from behind her, she turned around to answer him, only to see, "Professor Colbert, Flame Snake, Level 54."

Louise backed away as fast as she could. "What's happening!" she shouted.

...Time Skip...

"Wardes!" Louise yelled, shocked to see her fiancé in front of her. "Through sensing dark thoughts, you have gained the skill Empathy!"

Now's not the time! Wait... Dark thoughts?

...Time Skip...

Louise stood in front of her dear mother and her sisters, her father having not arrived yet, or busy with work around the estate. "That's wonderful little Louise!" her sister Cat happily exclaimed. Louise nodded, since she had gotten the Gamer's Shard, magic had been possiable. The spell fireball was obtained by simply reading what it did, and level up many times when she read the whole book through.

In fact, she had almost every spell taught at the Academy, and really didn't have a reason to go back, other than she found it fun. It wasn't really, but beating Kirche in a 'practice' fire duel was possibly one of he best days of her life.

Still, with everything that was going on, she only counted as a triangle class mage, capable of powerful spells, but not the most powerful spells. Her affinity with magic, and each of the elements, was still about the normal amount. Though her affinity with the Void was maxed out, increasing all Void spells by about one thousand percent.

Really, affinities were OP.

Nevertheless, Louise had to resist fawning over her mother. "Karin Vallière, The Heavy Wind, Level 67." Her level was the highest Louise had ever seen. That included Old Osmond and all of her professors. Though, to be fair, Old Osmond was less than five levels away.

In fact, both her sisters were above level twenty, about the normal level for a triangle class mage, and her oldest sister, Eleanor, was level 35, almost the level for a square class mage. It was kind of expected, honestly, for her direct family to be at least this powerful. She held back a sigh when she realized she was still the weakest of all of her family, standing halfway through level 24.

It was a definite improvement, but considering all the things that had happened to her since she had got her power, she would need to a lot to get stronger in order to match her mother and sisters. She could do it with either several more months of training, or three weeks at war. Explosions and increased speed really are useful. Of course, as it was, her flesh was easily twice as hard as most humans, and she could multiply that with a simple single line spell.

Louise stood up as tall as she could, activating the carefully raised Charisma, Noble Air skills, and putting on her most socially influential titles. "Mother, we need to talk."

...Time Skip...

Being a Void Mage with a familiar which can give you any ability has it's perks. Take this one; due to being in the forties, and having her Void Mage and Heir to Brimir titles on, Louise had almost 1000% increase on her MP regeneration. Now, due to her high Intelligence, and fairly high Wisdom, Louise had almost two hundred MP regained a minute anyway. With both titles on, Louise's Mp regeneration every second was just over the cost of her Mastered. Void Spell. (Silent) Giant Explosion spell.

Due to the mastery, and incredibly high cost, the spell was easily able to destroy even an entire airship if she lowered down the power and cast it without her wand. With her wand, however, it was easily powerful enough to destroy and entire fleet! Not only that, but it cost more than a square-class special spell, a spell designed by as square class mage to be their signature spell, so she could easily, say, copy the Flame Snake spell from Mr. Colbert and throw one or two a second.

Ahh. It's good to be on top.

...Version 2...

She had had her power for as long as she could remember. The power to see everything in numerical form. Her own strength, her enemies, and even any item she came across. She had long since known the best way to maximize her spells, as she had been fighting lower monsters since she was three, when her mother first got her to try to cast a spell, a simple wind spell at the time, due to her own affinity with air.

She had succeeded, barely, gotten the small leaf to levitate with her magic. This had somehow activated Louise's special ability, unlocking two of her strongest titles. Really, both the Magical Prodigy and Heir to the Founder titles were gave massive bonuses. Though, Heir to the Founder was much stronger, and Magical Prodigy was much more overall useful.

Since then, Louise had found that the fastest way to level up was to kill creatures. At first, her mother, sisters, and especially her father were surprised when they found Louise hunting down rodents with the servants. After she demonstrated her personally created spell, Wind Blade without using a wand, or words, her family left her strange habits alone, figuring them to be "The oddity of being a prodigy."

When she had asked her father if she could go hunting with him for the first time, he was hesitant, and slightly worried his daughter was going to turn into some type of psychopath, but had allowed her. Unfortunately, no one ever told her even nobles don't hunt with magic, but with bows, arrows, spears, for sport at least. It was embarrassing, for her at least, when she found out that beheading a large buck with favorite Wind Blade spell was not how she should have hunted, she was so confident too. The embarrassment led her to practice nearly an entire day with a lightweight bow and arrow. After that, she was known to be one of the best shots in the group.

A few years later, she grew too high leveled for hunting normal animals to give any real exp. In order to compensate, Louise took up a sport not many nobles still practiced. Dueling, as a sport, was something most nobles did not take part in because of how painful it was if you lost, and sometimes even if you won. That wasn't a problem with Louise, however, who could simply add some Vitality points to add some health, or make her body significantly harder with a simple level up, or increasing a skill.

At first, Louise was good. Then, after a few duels, Louise was once again hailed as a prodigy. Within months of her first duel, she was rated within the top one hundred mages of Tristan. Within a year, Louise was the best dueler below the age of thirty, and that was only because many of the veteran mages kept up their skills.

Soon, however, Louise reached what many refer to as a 'power gap'. The line between normal, triangle and line class mages, and square class. While there was enough dot class for there to be a continuous supply of opponents, and enough line class for a few training sessions to make up for, and enough triangle class to easily run through, square class mages were different. You see, ratings ended once someone entered the square class of mages, and someone level forty, which was the average low-class, if that term can be used here.

Her own mother, however, was level 67, Old Osmond was almost that strong, at level 62, and so on.

So, when Louise got to level forty, she found that there was a massive power gap between herself, and the higher level square class mages. So, Louise started going on missions, small at first, but progressively bigger until she was known as one of the biggest adventurers around, searching high and low for ancient artifacts, and treasure. She managed to get quite the profit from it.

Using the money she had gained from that, and her own allowance, she had bought an entire library of books on everything from magical theory, to advanced math, to precise ways to plant specific crops.

In fact, she bought so many books that she had to actually buy a library to hold them all, attended to by her finest Artificial Intelligence Golems. She let people check out books, of course, but she had steep fine for any late fees.

But enough of that, the point was, Louise was a powerful mage, one capable of becoming a square class mage by the time she ten, and one powerful enough to have no problem creating massive storms with a single spell, or wrestling with a bear because she lost her wand, or beating up bandits because they tried to shoot her. So long had she had her power, that she had eventually decided for an Intelligence/everything else build, and it maximized points. Still, now that she had her newest skill, Louise couldn't help but think she should have put more points into Wisdom, or Luck.

"Affinity of Magic. An ancient skill that has not been seen since the Founder. Because of it's massive power, it was sealed away. Grants user 100% increase in Mana regeneration, lowers spell cost, and increases exp gain. Also gives the title Void Mage."

"Void Mage increases Mana regeneration rate, lowers the cost of all Void spells, gives a plus 100% chance to result in spell failure. Doubles the effect of Affinity of Magic."

Louise barely avoided having the spell failure always making her spells explode, and only then by about twenty percent. Though the title was by far her most powerful. Eventually, when she had leveled up her Luck and Intelligence to insane, or at least more so, proportions, she could use it to double her power, until then, it wasn't useful at all.

...Time Skip...

Today was the day of the Spring Time Familiar Summoning Ritual. Louise, now higher level than the Flame Snake himself, stared at the familiars being summoned. Since Tabitha, a surprising level 37, summoned a dragon, and a rhyme dragon at that, she was certain she would summon something great.

Louise had one question though. What was higher than the strongest species of dragon?

"Miss Louise!"Professor Colbert, the Flame Snake, called. Completely confident in her magic, and the insane amount of points she had spent, Louise walked to center of the students, ignoring the whispers.

Slowly, Louise gathered her Mp into her wand, using the maximum amount the spell would take. Chanting the spell with perfect accuracy, Louise opened her eyes to see...

Hints(Tell me if I should continue this,)

Version 1.

In this format, I wrote the Gamer's Shard as the familiar, so she doesn't have an actual, useful familiar, having something akin to an elemental instead.

As for a power system, have almost no difference in power at the beginning of the story, but try to show an increase in power with new skills and levels. Logically, the power gap would widen as the story progresses.

Make sure to do the math regarding Louise's skills and abilities. Something like 'The average man has five points in strength, and can thus lift XXX pounds.'

Version 2.

in this version, I wrote Louise as an incredibly OP character, since I had her Gamer power activate when she first did magic. In an actual story, you may want to diminish that slightly to tide suspension of disbelief.

If you don't weaken her power, you may not want her to get it early. Perhaps sometime a few days or weeks before the story began would be best.

Make sure to do the math concerning her skills and power. Something like 'A single point in strength is enough to lift sixty pounds'.

Make sure Louise's skills are themed towards her life and world. Giving her the ability to build a car, would not make sense when she has not seen one.

Since this is an ability, and not the main power, you can add in anything, from summoning Han-Jee Han from The Gamer to Alex Mercer, to average Saito.
