Gray had lost everything already. His parents, Ur. Ultear. His chest heavy as he stood over the pink haired male with large horns extending just above each temple, his fangs bear with his dark eyes looking up at a hesitant Gray.

"What?.. You can do it, ice princess?" He teased. It was Natsu's voice insulting him but that wasn't Natsu. Natsu was gone. He wasn't coming back. Gray's chest ached. He now lost yet another person he cared about because Zeref. Zeref stood on the sidelines, eyes widened as he saw the scene before him.

"You can't kill me. You're powerless against me. You can't beat me. You're just a weakling in my way as usual." END taunted.

"Shut up.." Gray's voice rasped. "You think just because I knew you then that I defeat you? You think I'll let you let away with everything you've done to Gramps, Erza, Happy and Lucy? What you did to all of us? Everyone in Fairy" His voice grew higher as his chest became heavier than before. He didn't want to hurt Natsu but he had to for everyone in Fairy Tail.

"Yeah, well things change." Natsu simply said before adding "you can't do it. You know you can't. You're ju-" he was cut off by one of Gray's arrows hitting his shoulder.

Gray extended his hand summoning his excalibur sword onto the surface. Though the sword was made of ice, It could cut through anything, even Natsu's intense flames. He held the sword to Natsu's neck ready to slice through if he were to speak again, once he heard Natsu's taunting chuckle, he raised the sword above his head only to bring it back down once again. He was about to cut through when he heard the fire dragon slayer whimper. "C'mon, Icy freak. You're nothing but a-"

"G-Gray-Sama…" Juvia's voice resonated to Gray's ears making him stop dead on his tracks. Juvia. No. What are you doing here? Go back to the other, He thought. His eyes widened at the sound of her voice and he was now caught between getting her to a safe distance and finishing END off. What do I do? Gray wondered. His mind swirled with thoughts and emotions. What the hell, Juvia? He continued, his sword slicing through the surface of Natsu's skin.

"Gray-Sama...please.. don't do this.." She begged, slowly walking towards him with her hand extended out to touch him though she was still farther away than she'd like to be. "Gray-Sama.. Juvia can help you. Juvia just doesn't want Gray-Sama to car-"

"Just stay back, Juvia. You hear me?! I don't want you to come any closer." Gray pleaded though he failed at the attempt of pushing her away. She kept walking towards him, he hand just as eager as before for him. She wanted to support him even though he didn't want her around all of this.

"Gray- Sa-" she was stopped by Zeref's long slender digits covering her mouth for her not to speak anymore.

"You hurt Natsu Dragneel and I hurt your beloved, Gray Fullbuster." Zeref spoke with certainty. "I am not afraid to harm this girl of such value to you."

Gray's body stiffened. "Shit!" He muttered to himself. "What now?"

On one hand, he had to carry out his promise he made to his father but on the other, Zeref was threatening Juvia. The one person he cared for the most of all people. His sword slid through Natsu's skin a bit further having blood ooze onto the surface. Not only did he have to end Natsu and Zeref but now he had to save Juvia.

Juvia. His warmth. The one person who refused to give up on him for the past two and a half years. The one who showed him how to love once again. He couldn't simply give up on ending Natsu now that Juvia was in danger but he had to do something, but what?

With one hand on his sword, he extending the other pointing directly towards Juvia. Hearing her whimper in fear wasn't a sound he liked. The sound almost made him shudder, pushing all other thoughts aside, Gray concentrated on one task as a time. He knew Juvia could take care of herself but she was too drained of power from her previous battles, everyone in the guild pitched in. Right now, Juvia was weak. She had no strength and he knew that.

His hand glowed with a cool light blue fog and he uttered his battle cry; "Ice Make: Lance!" Blue arrows shot from his hand making their way towards Juvia. The blue arrows swerved around the battered blunette and onto Zeref's sides. With one hand, Zeref redirected them elsewhere, sending the back toward the Ice mage himself. Gray took that to his advantage to remove the sword from the demon's neck and move out of the way. The blue arrows shot straightforward into Natsu's chest.

A glow of yellow mixed with read surrounded the dragon slayer and with one final swing of his sword, Gray defeated the demon inside Natsu and headed back to rescue his beloved Juvia.

"Ice Make: Seven Sword Strike Dance!" He bellowed toward the dark mage before him and once again directed his attacks toward Zeref, completely missing Juvia on purpose. She Slipped out of the mage's grip, collapsing onto the ground. Gray pushed Zeref back and away from the blunette, striking him through several trees that soon fell onto the ground of the battlefield.

It was all a blur to Juvia, watching from the ground where she had fallen. She watched in awe Gray fought for her honor against Zeref. The scene was blurry, she just saw figures moving from one side to another until a dark shadow fell and until her vision went dark.

Gray finally got up, almost out of energy due to the fight between both Zeref and END. He has no strength left, but he decided to get up one last time. He needed to aid Juvia and get her to safety. Beating Zeref wasn't easy, he and everyone else knew that well. Although he manage to get him to back down, the fight lasted a couple of hours. Two maybe Three. He couldn't tell.

With the final straws of strength he had, Gray got up supporting himself with one hand on his knee before he staggered toward the blunette. He collapsed before her stilled body, his knees sore from the war. Thankful she wasn't harmed any further, he scooped her up into his arms as he sat back on his rear end holding the woman close to him.

"Juvia. You're.. okay." He panted into her hair. The woman stirred in his arms causing him to stiffen, hanging his head over her slim torso until he felt a soft hand cup his cheek. "Gray-Sama.. is alright." Her voice filled his ears which made him take a deep breath. "J-Juvia is so happy." She said weakly from the lack of magic power in her body.

"Shh.. Just rest for now. We can go back to base camp when we're both recovered." He murmured. "It's all over." Gray said, turning his gaze to Natsu's lifeless body. Shit, how was he going to tell Gramps about Natsu. What now? Will everyone hate him if he explained himself to the Master? How will they react? Will they treat him any different? He hated that kept losing everyone to Zeref. It's always been Zeref's fault. His parents, Ur, Ultear and now Natsu.. What now? Shit! Shit! SHIT!

He saved his friends from evil. All except one, Natsu. The dense bastard that annoyed the crap out of him. He couldn't believe what he had done to Natsu...to everyone. Was this really how it was supposed to end? Just like that, without another word. How will he, himself, get over this new trauma? How can he ev-

Just then Juvia stirred in his arms and he snapped back to reality. Juvia. That's right Juvia will support him. She always has, there's no doubt in his mind that she'd stop now. Feeling her small palm press against his cheek, Gray choked back a sob. Damnnit, why was he crying? He felt her thumb brush lightly over his cheek to wipe away a few tears that had gone free and rolled down his cheek.

"It'll be okay, Gray-Sama. Juvia will get through this with you." She simply smiled up at the raven haired man above her. She held back tears of her own but failed when she felt his rough thumb graze over her cheek. Yes, He'll miss Natsu but Juvia will help him keep moving forward, and he liked the idea of continuing to have her by his side.

AN: Hi! This was my first attempt at publishing an actual fanfiction. I know this is kinda lame but my curiosity got the best of me and I spent the whole day finishing this. I know this is short but I hope it's not too bad. Thank you.
